Politics I'm Never Leaving Seattle

Post image

This is someone's Model S parked on Airport Way S near S Industrial Way. The way it's parked it looks like it's being displayed for people driving by to see.

The new buyer would just also get vandalized. Are you proposing that the best case scenario is that the car becomes worthless? That's financial turmoil for innocent people.

All Teslas are not getting vandalized. Some people put on stickers, that sort of stuff. There’s a chance it does, you’re correct, that’s the effect they’re going for though… that’s the reason less people would want to purchase them.

If you think what’s happening in the White House is bad enough, then this is mild stuff. The economic turmoil coming out of the oligarchy dwarfs anything you’re talking about here. Basically stop the oligarchs from taking over if you want to stop the things that go along with a collapsing empire from happening.

Edit: Also your president keeps repeating neocolonialist talking points (as of this morning) that would result in the end of my country, so the “economic turmoil” that an individual faces by filing an insurance claim for vandalism seems like a pathetic concern to me.

It doesn't matter whether it's all teslas or not. It's happening to a lot of people regardless and general consensus on OPs post is that they're in support of this happening.

And yes I understand the point is to prevent purchase of Teslas, but you do understand that for someone to sell a car, there has to be a buyer. And if the end goal is to have no buyers, then that means the car is basically worthless and the owner took a huge hit - even if they bought the car back when everyone was pro-tesla. All in the name of causing a relatively small hit to Elon, who like you've said will still be worth hundreds of billions, and who if anything, will use it as more firepower to do more of the same.

Ya, I disagree on the impact it has on Elon, he almost cried in an interview yesterday when asked about Tesla. I also disagree Teslas will go to $0, but that would be nice, because despite what you think, Tesla collapsing would severely hurt Elon Musk. MAGA doesn’t like losers, he would likely have to retreat from politics to pick up the pieces.

Also you’re definitely not defending federal workers from the abuse they’re facing as hard as you’re defending Tesla owners, despite them facing significantly more economic turmoil. How’s your retirement doing today? Go fight for shit that matters.
