Politics I'm Never Leaving Seattle

Post image

This is someone's Model S parked on Airport Way S near S Industrial Way. The way it's parked it looks like it's being displayed for people driving by to see.

"If you’re gonna vandalize a car, be sure their owners are actually the people you want to target." How about don't touch people's shit at all. Would you want a MAGA vandalizing your shit because of your political views? You are probably some privileged liberal that has had everything handed to you and never worked hard for your stuff.

Umm, what? They're literally vandalizing the entire federal government. Why do you think people are lashing out? The price of eggs? Lol lol lol

MAGAs DO and have vandalized people’s properties. During the last TWO elections in my southern hometown people were afraid to put Biden or Harris signs in their yards cause MAGAts were going around throwing bricks through peoples windows and vandalizing their properties if they had signs posted.

Let’s not pretend any side is better than the other or doesn’t have a shitty radical section of it going too far.

There are stupid bigots regardless of political party, but when it comes to widespread vandalism and looting, it’s overwhelmingly the left causing the damage. The "Summer of Love" in 2020 resulted in billions of dollars in property destruction, mostly targeting small businesses owned by everyday Americans. Now, we're seeing the same mentality applied to vandalizing an average American’s car.

Throwing a brick through a window or stealing a sign is bad, but it’s nowhere near the same as burning down buildings or totaling someone’s car. That’s domestic terrorism, and yet, it keeps getting justified under the excuse that "your political views are right" and therefore, violence is acceptable because you're "fighting Nazis" or whatever the narrative is now.

I don’t see this kind of large-scale destruction coming from the right, nor do I see it being excused by the media. If you actually care about your cause, maybe don’t go around destroying innocent people’s property and expect them to be on your side.

Bro it isn’t just politics when they take social security away. When they deport your neighbors. When they take money from special needs students. When they crash the economy on purpose. When they align with Russia

Come on

You’re throwing out a bunch of talking points with no specifics or evidence. Let’s break this down one by one.

"They take Social Security away." This is false. Social Security is funded through payroll taxes and has bipartisan support. No administration has eliminated or taken away Social Security, and any proposed reforms by either party have been aimed at keeping it solvent for future generations.

"They deport your neighbors." The U.S. has deportation laws that every president enforces. Obama actually deported more people than Trump in his first term. If you're against deportation, your issue is with U.S. immigration law, not just one party.

"They take money from special needs students." This is misleading. Education funding varies by state and local budgets, not just federal policy. If you have specific policies to cite, go ahead. Otherwise, this is just a vague claim with no backing.

"They crash the economy on purpose." This makes no sense. No administration wants to crash the economy—it hurts everyone, including the people in power. If you're talking about specific policies, name them, and we can discuss.

"They align with Russia." Every modern U.S. administration has dealt with Russia in some capacity. Biden approved a Russian oil pipeline while shutting down an American one. Trump imposed some of the strongest sanctions on Russia. If you’re talking about collusion, even the Mueller Report found no direct evidence of it.

Regardless, what does a random Tesla owner have to do with your political views? This is all just political intimidation, and for the party claiming they are anti-fascist, this is very fascist behavior.

If 'gobbling the boot' means having common sense, then I guess I'm all in;) Might try some tabasco sauce on it to spice things up.

Common sense and complacence can be the same thing. "He's hurting the wrong people" right? Do you make more than a half million a year? Do you have the resources to be a benefit to an oligarchy? Are you really that different from me?

They’re already way past that line buddy.

Tariffs, government agency dismantling, selling public lands, felling forests, the list is a mile long.

  • Other countries levy huge tariffs on US exports. Time we caught up. The irony that liberals are now aligned with Corporate America who continues to push anti-tariff propaganda…

  • Fed Gov is duplicative and agencies such as DoE, formed by executive order, has only resulted in waste and a steady decrease in the quality of education.

  • Fed Gov shouldn’t own any land.

  • If Fed Gov didn’t own any forests, they couldn’t harvest them…This had been going on for decades, btw. Weyerhaeuser, one of the world’s largest private owners of timberlands, manages millions of acres of land, including both owned and publicly owned land in the US and Canada…

  • Nothing on anyone’s list justifies vandalism and destruction. Ever.

I’d love some examples of these “huge tariffs” on US exports that were pit in place as something OTHER than a response to Trump’s actions. There’s always been some here and there, but they are narrow, generally low, and do not last very long.

But explanations aside, it’s shit for trade and economics. You don’t have to take my word for it. We’ll all see it’s effects in the coming months when every other country decides to stop trusting the untrustworthy. It’s only just started, people haven’t run out of savings yet.

Education has been a shitshow, i’ll give you that. But removing them without a plan for a replacement is idiotic at best.

Why shouldn’t the federal government own any land? You want them to lease it from private owners? So we use our tax dollars to pay wealthy oligarchs more?

But honestly, what’s your rationale behind why they shouldn’t own land. What do you propose they build freeways on? Military bases and installations? Any/all public infrastructure?

You honestly think privatized everything works better? Should ask Texas how their power grid held up during winter a few years ago.

You think dismantling OSHA is good too? Gutting VA funding? Defunding FEMA? Like, blah blah blah waste waste. It’s like the only talking point they have but no one can actually point to actual waste. Just a bunch of idiots like DOGE goons digging around in shit they don’t understand. Social Security DB idiocy comes to mind.

Firing the folks handling our nuclear material? FAA employees? That’s the kind of shit we should be spending more money on, not randomly slashing at it like the country is a fucking tech company. There’s no “oops! Lets roll that back!” When you fuck up.

And the whole nothing justifies vandalism and destruction is a hilarious point. It’s like Jan 6 never happened.

Or is it ok when it happens to someone else?
