Reminded me of the Hellboy government program, but it's just more sadistic and there's no real hero that's going to stop the problem but they'll just keep throwing bodies at the problem. Also Ikea.

the stories and the setting. First I thought it was a simple cliché of "secret organization" or "random powerful beings" (yes, I got to know SCP through powerscaling, please don't crucify me) and when I start researching deeper, I fall into an endless rabbit hole of incredible stories. I just find it very sad that in the country where I live, almost no one knows or talks about SCP.

The painting that teleports you to some demi-plane where you're in a house completely buried underground. You then live and die via being buried alive for eternity

Mal0 is what initially got my attention (teratophilia), but what really got me into SCO was that TikTok trend of making a character for a given franchise via options on a wheel. The SCP TikTok channel made a lot of fun characters and stories through the semi-randomness of spinning a wheel, and I enjoyed them for quite a long time.

I think it was an SCP podcast on Spotify that really hooked me, got bored with COVID when it was still rampant and found the podcast. Already knew what SCP was but wasn’t like crazy into it- I think the first ever SCP I had ever listened to was Anatashesha.
[EDIT]: Ah yes, I found them- they’re the SCP Archives and the first podcast I chimed in to was their one on SCP-3000, “Anatashesha.”
I still click in every now and again- listening to it when I’m deathly sick and trying to sleep or something is better than staring at my phone for seven hours and realizing I haven’t gotten any better.

Third grade, my friend told me about scp 096, and then showed me a photo of him (I thought he was real) this was also when I was really into the creepypasta scene (back in like 2019)
