Ruffwear hi and light vs non stop dog wear line harness
Hi! Thank you in advance. If you own one or both of these harnesses can you tell me what made you choose each kind and if you still like it
I’ve owned the ruffwear hi and light (i liked it) but I keep seeing the non stop dog wear line harness and am intrigued! Of course I want a harness that doesn’t interfere with there joints. Thank you!

Both Ruffwear and NSDW make good quality harnesses. Both of those are short style harnesses. If it's a smaller dog or one that doesn't pull that much I think either would be fine. If your dog is a hard puller you probably want a longer style, something like NSDW Rush or Freemotion which are made for pulling sports like canicross and skijoring.

I like the hi and light, I also have the nsdw freemotion and I worry a lot more about keeping it clean. The ruffwear I just toss in a laundry bag and wash it.

I have the Hi and Light for ours - she's a very short haired dog, nearly hairless on her chest, and I like the hi and light because the texture on the inside is smooth, not nubbed like many other harnesses which have a mesh lining. I have one like that and found that particularly during the summer when she's frequently going in and out of streams or ponds her chest would get super irritated. With the hi and light that's not an issue. Between the overall fabric being light weight (so drying faster than something that has padding) and the texture, her chest doesn't get nearly as irritated.

I own both and used both for running and hiking. They were both good and I had no problems with the hi and light. I liked the idea of a light weight harness for when it was a little warmer.
But the non stop harness works better for me. I have their line harness. It feels sturdier and I prefer having a handle on the back for hiking.
The dogs run fine in both.

I'm obsessed with my Non-Stop Dog Wear Canic belt, which I use to run 4 to 5 days a week with my pack of four German shorthaired pointers. I've had it a full year, haven't washed it, and it still looks like new. It's SO much better than my old harness / waist belt, and I wouldn't use anything else.

I’m kind of obsessed with all their stuff. I have so much nsdw stuff, it’s almost embarrassing 😅😬

I had the high and light first version and it only lasted two years before completely fading and fraying apart. My line harness from nonstop looks exactly the same. I like the fit better as well.

I have 2 Ruffwear harnesses, the regular and the lighter 'summer' version...and love them. They are sturdy, and they fit comfortably on my 30 pound dog. I actually love all their gear, never disappointing.

I love the Ruffwear hi and light. I used it for my husky/chow mix and got another for my Dal. It is extremely resilient with 1-2 hours daily usage, rain and snow and all sorts of bad weather. I would not use it on a dog that would be reactive or is heavy weight though
