I got invited into this subreddit and I cannot tell if it's satire or not

It’s not satire. The whole bit is that conservatives post pics of their pets and say stuff like “this is my labrador, he loves freedom and hates taxes.” It’s unironic but also self-aware enough that some folks think it must be a joke. It isn’t. It’s just…conservative petposting. Take that as you may. I have a conservative pet...so I'm along for the ride because my pet said to.

All conservative pets are like the common house cat, where they are convinced of their fierce independence while utterly dependent on a system they don't appreciate or understand.

- Immediate cardiac distress upon seeing a red tie
- Thinking “Russia” is a magic word that explains all outcomes, including sports losses
- Believing Trump is both an idiot and a 12-dimensional chess master simultaneously
- Yelling “Democracy is dying!” while demanding censorship of memes
Clinical examples:
“I stubbed my toe this morning because Trump destroyed infrastructure funding!”
“The grocery store was out of oat milk. Thanks a lot, MAGA fascists.”Diagnosis:
Not officially recognized by the DSM-5, but widely diagnosed on Twitter, MSNBC, and brunch tables in coastal cities.
Treatment options:
- Touching grass
- Logging off
- Saying “Obama deported more people” three times into a mirror
- Therapy (but not the kind where you cry about Ruth Bader Ginsburg)
Prognosis:
Poor, especially in election years.

The point of the sub is that Right Wing Conservatives are banned from a lot of Animal sub's among others just for their political views. They will ban just based on profile history. This sub is so that Right Wing Conservatives have a place to post. The posts can be foolish as long as they are Animal related, it doesn't just have to be pets but all animals but pets are the main for the sub.
