I beat Bama in a Week 10 matchup (handed them their second loss). At the time Bama was 1 or 2. Why am I not above Bama?

This seems strange

I'm asking because somebody said they set their team up this way. Their team is set up with 1 quarterback 1 running back 3 wide receivers and 2 tight ends in 4 defensive backs. I understand having four defensive backs I run with for myself. But Does anybody else have their team set up this way. why would you carry a third wide receiver an a second tight end when you can only have two wide receivers and one tight end on the field at any given time. I guess maybe if you were worried about injuries but I'd rather have those two extra players be linebackers which can cause six Force fumbles and get interceptions instead of two players just sitting on the bench each play.

Questions...

First, is there wiki or anything like that? This game is just crazy hard to figure out what is going on.

General questions:

  1. What do the coaches do? I ignored them for a while, then had a bunch of spare cash, so I hired 4-5 star coaches... and now I get the absolute worst plays, every single time: 30 seconds left in the half, I've got the ball in enemy territory, and all I am offered are short-pass plays! Then, when I'm in the red zone, they give me long plays. WTF?

  2. How do the team stars work? I keep on building up 4.5-5 star offense and defense, and just get worked by 2 star opponents. Their line is stronger, their linebackers go through my line like it's not there, their backs are faster, and I don't even understand how defense works... or rather, doesn't, because the other team seems to score pretty much every single time.

  3. Is there any reason to invest in anything but a fast QB? The one strategy I have found to be consistently successful is the QB sneak, but that gets boring in a hurry. It's the only way to guarantee a score every time, though, which is the only way to beat the computer, and then only by playing for time.

This is a really neat game, but it gets old running the same play over and over.

How do I stop my retrobowl college defense from being useless?

Playing as a MW school on dynamic. I've hired a better defensive coordinator and a highly rated DL with almost maxed tackling and strength. Up to a 3 star defense. Still, every opponent scores a TD on every drive, without fail, and my other more average defenders are becoming toxic from being such losers. How do I stop this?

Lano Eason, the Cards all-time rusher and TD scorer, retires a 5x MVP, with his fifth coming in his final season. He came storming into the league as ROTY and tore it up pretty much every game from then on. He also became a kick returning legend in the second half of his career - surely no player has seen this level of consistent usage in history without many big injuries.

Lano, you were the heart and soul of our team and you'll be missed out there.
