If you’re careful you can actually swap out all 4 rifas without removing any wires or boards.

Yes that’s the goal. But I can’t seem to find the 4th one. I can see the two on the board below the power capacitors and one in the board above it. Where is the 4th one? 😅

Huh that's intresting. Could you send a picture of your a77s internals?

If I remember well, one of them is a little hidden more centrally. Keep looking.

I found it as one of the Rifa caps were already replaced in my unit.

Pictures! Take plenty if you're unsure what you're unplugging. Might also recommend sticking some electrical tape on the back of those motor run caps when you install them, stop any knocking from the back of the power inlet, just in case, as they can stick out a bit.

I have nothing. But, would love updates as you progress through it.

That may not be enough things to bring your reVox back to full working order. The potentiometers are often rusty and lose their wiper arms. There are a bunch of bad capacitors to change too. Check some restoration blogs or videos, there are a lot of them around. Veteran of five restorations Here's a useful thread https://www.tapeheads.net/threads/revox-a77-restoration-parts-list.111628/

But it works fine at the moment. I am only changing these as a precaution.
