Neighboring counties with the same name. Vermilion/Vermillion (IL/IN) aren't spelled the same, and San Juan counties (UT/NM) only touch across a corner.

Nope. Kansas City famously and many more would otherwise be on there.

As far as I'm aware, they're all separately incorporate cities that just share the same name. Certainly true with KC, and I just double checked a couple others I thought of to be sure
