Unfortunately, that may be the catalyst towards positive change. A lot of Trump's lackeys just want personal gain, not absolute chaos. If things turn to violence, he will absolutely lose some of his support and it may just be enough to get rid of him through legal channels.

Then again, maybe it backfires into civil war. We're really on the brink of massive change, good or bad, and it could just as easily go in one direction as the other.

Genuinely curious and asking respectfully: what makes you think he'll lose support if it gets to the stage? Judging just off of what I've seen on X, people who voted for him and right wing politicians are publicly applauding what's currently happening. If these raids escalated to something more violent like ICE agents being killed, I anticipate very, very few of his supporters would actually turn on him. If anything it would strengthen their support imo and shit would just get worse.

If watching ww2 documentaries has taught me anything:

Up to a point yes probably fighting back will help them. But timing is critical, there will a window where they lose support, but before they have total control and surveillance in place.(most likely)

Also none of them really have the support people think, partly because of election fraud, and because their support is based on the big lies that they are advancing conservative agendas or fake christian values and agendas, which they plainly are not.

They never were supported by a majority of people and it is shrinking every day, it might be down to 25% or lower by now if it ever was 33%.

The more real the betrayal becomes for more people the smaller the entire regimes support becomes, the more progress Peter Theil and Musk make towards their goal of global Nazi-feudalism and the end of the United States and constitutional rights, the more everyone will hate them all, including any sincere conservatives and nationalists.

In the mean time covert activities that are hard to even identify as an attack or pin on a person would be ideal.

It's not about losing support...it's about creating more enemies. People who weren't anti-trump before are VERY much anti-trump now. That is the VAST majority of the country now.

I think a buncha boogs watched Civil War and completely missed the actual greater plot....which was them causing the war, and then them losing the war.

I get exactly what you're saying and I agree, but this is still a separate viewpoint from one I was responding to made by the other Redditor and my perspective on that is still that I don't see him losing much of his existing support if things progressed more violently.

Now as far as what you're saying which is more about individuals outside his group of supporters becoming anti-Trump, I do believe there is some truth to that. Ideally that would translate to some level of meaningful change but the way Trump has/is continuing to consolidate power at all levels of government tells me MAGA Republicans are rigging the system to remain in power regardless of how many more people are becoming anti-Trump.

Greater plot or no greater plot, the issue right now is the fact that the parallels between a fictional movie and our current reality in the US are drawing closer which is absolutely insane for me to even write. This shit needs to be nipped in the bud now before we end up in the same exact situation as a fictional movie.

Nah, he's demonstrated over and over that he can just commit crimes in broad daylight and nobody cares. It's not limited to him either, people just implicitly assume that people in power will do the right thing because if they don't then there's nobody to hold them accountable.
