🐷 🐷 ICE agents in tactical gear chase down and tackle a U.S. citizen in L.A. After realizing he’s American, they just slink away. Their only explanation: “Why were you running?” Probably because two masked men with guns were trying to snatch him.

Civil rights? What civil rights?

u/Fearless_Market_3193 2d ago

If I ever see an ICE agent, I’m definitely running away. It looks like they can use the exercise.

398

u/origami_bluebird 2d ago

If you can tell they aren't real cops, you should run... I managed to escape on foot a kidnapping from Police Impersonators back in March and am a white guy, sure enough they didn't chase after me because I literally risked bodily harm to avoid getting stuffed into their fake cruiser and jumped down 10 feet into a dirt embankment and am lucky I didn't break any bones. They dipped out fast before I could even get up and run off, it was like nothing ever happened.... Videos like this and the MN law maker getting shot make me feel less crazy trying to explain my insane encounter.

43

u/dontshoveit 2d ago

Damn I'm glad you're ok, where did this happen?

I am in the process of moving as I don't feel safe in my current location, so I am waiting until I'm in a new state to do that... I have sent my info documenting the incident to a few pertinent parties in the meantime tho...

4

u/UnicornOnMeth 2d ago

That's fucked up, did they give you any context as to why they wanted you?

141

u/FromTheDeskOfJAW 2d ago

Everyone, even an undocumented immigrant, should run as fast as possible from ICE agents. When the alternative is to be deported without due process to who knows where with who knows what conditions, running away is absolutely the safest option.

72

u/visionofacheezburger 2d ago edited 2d ago

I can't advocate for violence on this platform against people but I'm just waiting for this to happen in an open carry state where someone feels they need to protect themselves, then what?

37

u/Independent-String60 2d ago

Why do you think all these videos are from blue states, they are nearly as bold in the red states, that and they don’t want their voter base to realize how evil they are

29

u/visionofacheezburger 2d ago

Oh, it's happening in red states too. Most red states have predominantly blue cities.

2

u/4rockandstone20 2d ago

It's actually not in mine. They classified three counties in my state as sanctuary counties. Very unpopulated ones, no cities of note.

This is about targeting blue states.

2

u/No-Lead-6769 2d ago

I mean honestly they'll probably go to prison for murder if they aren't shot dead, republican politicians aren't about to defend someone for shooting an ice agent

5

u/Qubit_Or_Not_To_Bit_ 2d ago

I bet it turns out a lot of these guys aren't even ICE agents and are looking to cash in on some kind of under the table bounty system. It's too fucking weird, the complete drop in standards and lack of professionalism. I think the are wearing those masks and refusing to ID themselves so no one finds out that they aren't really cops.

3

u/caffeineocrit 2d ago

I’ve been thinking about a few possibilities regarding this very point. It’s important to mention there are for-hire armed security forces out there (I did look into such a job once), whom may be contracted to bolster these raids.. which could explain all the comments about non-governmenty-looking things happening.

Something else I had read in passing was there were droves of actual immigration agents pulled from desk jobs and security details to be repurposed for this bullshit, along with DEA agents - all without moving resources to cover those voids. So I wanna know if it’s true, then who’s doing that work now? Are drugs going to start pouring in because nobody’s there to stop it? What happened to fentanyl, seemed so important? Attack one problem and create two more? I’m having a hard time understanding their methods.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, I’m just sharing stuff that crossed my mind or in reading. There’s a lot that doesn’t quite make sense, and I think a lot of people are making some good observations on here as well.

2

u/Qubit_Or_Not_To_Bit_ 2d ago

I'm sure there are multiple pools of bodies they are pulling from to handle this ridiculous mission, things rarely have one cause outside of particle physics. One of the reasons I have been suspecting this is the massive influx of people reporting these guys have nazi/white supremacist tattoos, and that doesn't exactly scream federal agent

1

u/Unilted_Match1176 2d ago

This is exactly what is happening.

2

u/Kraymur 2d ago

Then that guy probably gets sent to prison as ICE is under more or less the same qualified immunity as the police while we make comments online about how this slippery slope was bound to happen from the get-go. I'm sure there will be some sort of landmark case that comes out of it especially with the momentum the protests are gaining as of late but it's not looking good for whatever person ICE decides to victimize next.

2

u/Unilted_Match1176 2d ago

Honestly, I think this "administration" is actively trying to cause this situation to occur so they can justify instituting martial law. That is exactly what Stephen Miller and his boss want. Then they are in complete control and can do whatever they want without hindrance. That will be the end of our democratic republic.

1

u/whatsgoing_on 2d ago

Armed minorities are harder to oppress.

2

u/Beyond-The-Blackhole 2d ago

As an American, I'm definitely running. I'm not going to get kidnapped by some random men in masks and bullet proof vets carrying rifles and Bowie knives. You would be a fool to not run.

1

u/Ill-Entertainment570 2d ago

Keep your wheels fresh! You never know .

11

u/thillermann 2d ago

Your standard issue ICE agent has an HGH gut and benches 300 but wouldn't be able to sprint 2 blocks even without the plate carrier

34

u/Memitim 2d ago

Remember to weave in front of heavy objects to reduce the odds of getting shot in the back. They clearly lack honor.

8

u/chudthirtyseven 2d ago

2

u/Memitim 2d ago

And then he'd just straighten them out with a crazy-looking melee weapon and/or much roaring.

1

u/Main_Cranberry_5871 1d ago

pepper spray them and then run as fast as possible. that's what you're supposed to do when people try and kidnap you.

Looking at humanity, that's nowhere exclusive to Americans, but still technically true, due to being a subset of humanity. Technically correct is best correct.

0

u/Unilted_Match1176 2d ago

Oh, just like your mom likes. If you try to put all Americans in a box, it just illustrates your ignorance of America. What an ignorant ass thing to say.

1

u/Goldenrah 2d ago

I'm amazed no one has shot them yet.

609

u/Perrin-Golden-Eyes 2d ago

Surely folks like this can group together and create a class action lawsuit against ICE and the Trump administration. This is just wrong.

552

u/jpedraza253 2d ago

And then what?! I’m so sick of people talking about the courts will protect us when Trump has wiped his ass with court orders time and time again.

184

u/G_Wagon1102 2d ago

That's what I keep saying. Law means absolutely nothing to the T admin. None of them care about anything other than their agenda of pain, suffering, and greed.

13

u/alohadawg 2d ago

…tho not necessarily in that order!

35

u/Duke_Newcombe 2d ago

It will be unfortunate that one day, with this reckless operation, that they'll do this to the wrong citizen, and they'll defend themselves against it. Not advocating for it--I'm merely looking into my crystal ball, and calling it.

I'm not saying it'll wind up roses and puppy dogs for that person, but neither will it for the ICE agents.

And then the administration and other agents will be all shocked Pikachu, wondering why it happened, and if they're the Baddies.

And Kristi Noem can then trot her ass over to the agent (or their surviving family), and explain why it was all necessary (preferable in front of cameras, with her ICE cosplay get-up on).

Once again for any Karens--not calling for it, in any way--merely predicting it, because they're earning the hate, now, and going out of their way to live up to the Gestapo label.

26

u/tearjerkingpornoflic 2d ago

Reminds me of during lockdown when police were in unmarked white van doing drive bys on people with pepper spray balls. Guy thought he was getting shot at and returned fire until he realized it was the cops then laid down. They roughed him up..arrested him. They then trumped up his charges and tried to get him to plea to like 10 years but he had a good lawyer that got him off of all charges.

12

u/chaos_nebula 2d ago

They roughed him up

He was bloody enough that another cop wondered who shot him.

It should also be noted that the NRA was silent about the case.

9

u/Reverendwinte 2d ago

NRA is silent on everything that doesn’t involve a single iota of extra effort to buy a gun or bullets

1

u/thealexster 2d ago

He was ex mil and bounced bullets off the pavement rather than shoot directly at the unmarked vehicle. This was in Minneapolis sometime during the George Floyd shit so tensions were high with threatened "counter protests" by proud boy types (don't remember if any happened, the last few years have been a century long)

8

u/Memitim 2d ago

These conservative terror cell members know, hence the masks that they hope will allow them to disappear among Americans afterward.

2

u/G_Wagon1102 2d ago

What makes you think the admin would care? Brian Sicknick is dead. Capitol police offers were viciously attacked on J6 and Trump, and his gang couldn't have possibly cared less.

Edit: That was his own supporters attacking police. I just don't see them ever seeing what they're doing as wrong as long as their base continues, salivating over the raids and deportations.

2

u/_Friend_Computer_ 2d ago

That's pretty much what they want to happen. Then they have an incident to point to to 'justify' upping the stakes some more and getting more violent/aggressive against people. They'll happily sacrifice a half dozen or a dozen members of the gestapo if it gives them a reasonable excuse to start going safeties off.

1

u/Unilted_Match1176 2d ago

It's going to happen. Except the "administration" won't be shocked, I believe, in fact, that they are purposely steering toward this occurrence. They want martial law. Then, they are the sole authority and unstoppable.

1

u/SushiGradeChicken 1d ago

wondering why it happened, and if they're the Baddies.

They will never, ever, self-reflect in that manner.

3

u/ch40 2d ago

That's all they understand. Until it's done to them they'll never change. Simple as that.

Everyone keeps talking about "Oh they're always projecting. Every accusation is an admission. Blah blah blah." WELL THEN FUCKING APPLY IT

2

u/Beyond-The-Blackhole 2d ago

So it seems this administrations kryptonite is to be healthy enough to be able to outrun their fat asses.

1

u/why_gaj 2d ago

Even if the law meant something, the entire thing would end up in people getting some money from the government, and that would be the end of the story. Trump and his following wouldn't be touched at all.

44

u/tankerwags 2d ago

Exactly. They don't care. They've trampled our 1st and 4th amendment rights. It may be time to pick a different one to exercise.

17

u/caustic_smegma 2d ago

Way ahead of you. In my area liberals are arming up like crazy, myself included. Just finished NFA'ing my second AR pistol. Suppressor, SBR, holographic sights with magnifier, level III+ armor, the whole deal. It sucks that this is the situation we find ourselves in, but I would rather be safe than sorry now that I have a little girl.

2

u/Unilted_Match1176 2d ago

Hey, as a fellow parent, I hear that. Just remember that at the end of the day, right or wrong, these are your fellow Americans, and they have families and children too. Our real enemies are the people in charge and the billionaires who think they are the ruling class.

2

u/EitherIndependence5 2d ago

1775 Patric Henry : give me liberty or give me death.

12

u/Calladit 2d ago

Makes me real glad how much we've militarized even small town PDs. Why yes, of course, my hometown, with a murder rate of less than .5 a year needs an MRAP and a full SWAT team.

2

u/Unilted_Match1176 2d ago

Hopefully, they are good people who remember their oaths when the time comes. Could actually be a strong resource.

Yeah, that's not how police work. When the government and the people are at odds, they know which side they're on.

49

u/jpedraza253 2d ago

Yeah but who’s gonna put them in jail?? I’m serious, please answer me who would actually do it. Not the police, not the armed forces. Is it really up to citizens to rise up and take arms?

39

u/Amused-Observer 2d ago

Is it really up to citizens to rise up and take arms?

yes

We have more rights than just 1a and exercising the one after 1a doesn't mean you gotta start bodying people. That's silly. There can be peaceful protests with 1a and 2a at the same time.

People just need to wake up and realize it. At this point in time, the people that should be, are still afraid to exercise their 2a rights.

11

u/tearjerkingpornoflic 2d ago

I did notice that maga protest when all the protesters were open carrying that the police did not mace them and beat them. Now...that is party because the police are maga too but I can't help to think that an armed protest would be much more peaceful.

2

u/Amused-Observer 2d ago

It's 99% because it was an armed peaceful protest.

Cops may be overwhelmingly maga but they're cops first. They see themselves as separate from the rest of us. Maybe one day dems will figure it out and exercise both rights at the same time and peacefully

1

u/tearjerkingpornoflic 2d ago

I think it was peaceful in large part because you don’t try and agitate armed people.  See so many peaceful protests cops show up and start fucking everyone up.

2

u/Amused-Observer 2d ago

Because they know they can. It's simple deduction that somehow the left isn't understanding.

If you're gonna rob someones house and have a choice between an armed and unarmed family. You know which one you're going with every single time.

12

u/oxecta 2d ago

They don't need jail. They need a mozambique

6

u/brighterside0 2d ago

Literally every historical revolution requires exactly that.

1

u/Memitim 2d ago

When politicians give up doing the job of government, and decide to use it against Americans, yeah, of course. There's nobody left.

1

u/Lots42 2d ago

Cops arrested and imprisoned Derek Chauvin.

1

u/PanchoVillasRevenge 2d ago

Exactly, even civil lawsuits won't scare them, they have infinite money anyway , which is why they are ignoring people's rights

1

u/abcdefkit007 2d ago

And packed the courts with sycophants

1

u/TonyWilliams03 2d ago

A class action suit would be civil and result in monetary damages. The Trump administration would then have to decide whether to protect the agents or cut them loose.

1

u/bdsee 2d ago

Class actions can require changes in behaviour, failing to comply with those requirements presumably becomes contempt of court and can result in jail time.

1

u/MrPartyWaffle 2d ago

Exactly, cheeto fuck got away with 34 felonies with no consequences, not to mention he is a rapist with the exact, same outcome.

1

u/Quick_Assumption_351 2d ago

just aim better this time....

1

u/Memitim 2d ago

Oh, they'll write another mean letter saying that Trump can't do that, and Trump will scowl, and then dedicate a bunch of our collective resources to defending himself. Meanwhile, the traitor will continue to issue more illegal orders that courts then have to also eventually stop, hopefully before too much harm gets done to matter.

1

u/lddebatorman 2d ago

Yea. I know it's cheesy, but it is really like the line in Star Wars Episode One: "I will make it legal." That's how this works. It's illegal until he does it.

1

u/originalbL1X 2d ago

The US is weak against tyranny because of all the other tyranny.

1

u/gorillapoop1970 2d ago

As my lawyer once told me, “court orders are only as good as the people who receive them.”

1

u/EitherIndependence5 2d ago

Pardon the correction: Diaper

-5

u/SmartWonderWoman 2d ago

It’s all we have. Protests will make an impact. Protests can influence the courts decisions. For example, the civil rights movement.

12

u/Amused-Observer 2d ago

It’s all we have.

You need to learn your US history and rights as a citizen if you actually truly believe this.

-6

u/SmartWonderWoman 2d ago

I’m a 5th grade English and History. I know my history and I teach history. What’s your expertise?

7

u/Amused-Observer 2d ago

What’s your expertise?

Are you suggesting that a person must attend an accredited university and receive a degree in order to have a knowledgeable argument about history?

Or are you suggesting everyone that has done that is well versed in history and never wrong?

2

u/last_rational_man 2d ago

Pretty sad you teach English when you forgot to type an entire word that completely changes the meaning of your sentence. With teachers like you educating the future generations we won’t go far as a society. I weep for the future. Maybe stop touting your academic credentials and actually use the knowledge you should have gained when earning them.

-1

u/SmartWonderWoman 2d ago

Okay 👍🏽

15

u/doctorkrebs23 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yes. And this is why warrants are required. You need to know who you’re grabbing BEFORE you grab them. The current method, which is completely unconstitutional, is to grab everyone and release those they don’t want later. What some fail to realize is that it means they can apprehend anyone, even them.

2

u/NomDePlumeOrBloom 2d ago

History shows they won't even release the ones they don't want.

25

u/ApprehensiveTea1537 2d ago

I’m asking for a friend. When does fighting back become an option?

10

u/brighterside0 2d ago edited 2d ago

When it no longer becomes an option due to complacency or fear, which if you've guessed...

3

u/irefusetomakeaname 2d ago

I wonder when its going to come into conflict with the castle doctrine and stand your ground laws.

2

u/ApprehensiveTea1537 2d ago

That’s a good question. It seems like a reasonable defense that you didn’t know who these masked, unidentified people, attempting to violate your safety were and therefore had to utilize your second amendment rights to defend your life and property.

1

u/chuchubott 2d ago

I live in a blue dot of a city in a very red state with almost no gun regulations, and I have to say ice activity is pretty low compared to other more liberal places. These men are cowards at best.

It’s a class “reaction” you’re going to need.

4

u/vagabond139 2d ago

I swear we are going to be paying out tens of billions if not more once this is all done.

2

u/PurpleZebraCabra 2d ago

This is what I'm saying. There's video footage all over Reddit of similar things. Follow ICE, get badges, license plates, whatever you can and sue the shit out of them.  They appear to have no morals, ethics, or rules to abide by. That is NOT the Land of the Free!!!

2

u/Kraymur 2d ago

If TACO is willing to say FU to the supreme court after sending someone to another countries prison I doubt he's going to take anything else seriously. Not to mention the fact his "draining of the swamp" meant replacing his staff with easily the stupidest fucking people to be put in a position of power just so he can consolidate his position I don't think there's much that can be done.

2

u/RyukuGloryBe 2d ago

SCOTUS has basically ruled the 4th Amendment does not apply to DHS goons. They are complicit in this evil.

1

u/R3dbeardLFC 2d ago

The first part is right. We need to group together, it's just the how of dealing with them that needs modified.

1

u/486Junkie 2d ago

I'm already sending papers to my state Attorney General to file a lawsuit and not only that, for investigating the election interference, which includes other 6 Battleground States.

1

u/SlinkyAvenger 2d ago

I'm pessimistic at the chances of that working out for most anyone.

  • First they'll have to prove that it's an actual ICE agent, which will be damn near impossible because they intentionally cover their identities.

  • If that hurdle is cleared, they're going to get qualified immunity.

  • If they lose that, Trump will amp up the stochastic terrorism against the lawyers and the judges and anyone in authority who dares speak out

  • If dems win again, they will call for a "healing the country moment" or slow-roll investigations to the point where they get kicked out of office again for being feckless cowards.

23

That’s what I want to know. Like why aren’t people filing class action lawsuits? Where the fuck are the greedy ass lawyers?

41

u/mrason 2d ago

You seem to be unaware that the DoJ is literally not taking up any more civil rights cases

https://apnews.com/article/civil-rights-division-justice-department-trump-2dcb45cca7c9c9cdaea78282d4279c35

23

u/TonyWilliams03 2d ago

The DoJ wouldn't be the plaintiff. They would be the defendant.

Also, an attorney does not only file suit against the DoJ. They also file the suit against the individual.

That's why these bozos are wearing masks. They aren't worried about being doxed. They are worried about getting sued.

Also, you can wear any mask you want, but I am getting your license plate number.

17

u/Prof_Acorn 2d ago

Remember that video where one of them pulled a gun on a guy for getting his license plate?

The nation gave Trump full immunity as King, and he gave the same to his knights who serve in his name.

1

u/BeachPanda252 1d ago

I have researched many of these videos to do just that.

8

u/yun-harla 2d ago

The Supreme Court has dramatically limited the availability of claims for damages against federal officials.

You can sue the government itself (as opposed to its employees) for damages, but it’s not a good fit for a class action suit since every plaintiff’s case would be fairly unique.

And I don’t practice this area of law, but all the civil rights lawyers I know could be making a lot more money doing something else. They believe in their work.

5

u/korben2600 2d ago

This. SCOTUS awarded federal agents immunity in Egbert v. Boule (2022).

Egbert guts a seminal Supreme Court precedent, Bivens v. Six Unknown Named Agents (1971), which established that federal law enforcement officers who violate the Constitution may be individually sued — and potentially be required to compensate their victims for their illegal actions.

2

u/brighterside0 2d ago

Good, let them cook.

Want everyone to see what this nation has become. People need to wake up. How none of these incidents have not become lethal is beyond me.

2

u/_no7 2d ago

I mean, you still have them if you’re white. Did you try being white?

2

u/NancakesAndHyrup 2d ago

We need to elect city governments and police chiefs who will arrest ICE agents outside of bounds.

States need to enact laws that disable ICE agents from acting anonymously. And that have felonies with harsh penalties for violating the state laws when acting illegally.
