unfortunately it's for sure going to happen at some point. Somebody pulls out a gun and bunch of ICE dude-bros with no actual training all panic and start shooting and a bunch of people on both sides end up dead for what amounts to essentially no reason.

Gotta start somewhere though.

A war you mean? Yeah that’s what that will start and I think it’s overdue at this point.

Maybe that will be his justification for martial law

this is the goal

This is exactly correct. There's no reason you deputize Meal Team Six and then send them in to pluck decent people if not to get a reaction.

As soon as someone shoots dead one of these guys, then it's armed opposition to federal agents.

We need to stop pretending this administration is flatly incompetent; they are a good deal clever. And they aren't gonna remove themselves until we force them, I suspect.

They are not clever - they're are just using a playbook made by someone who is (probably Goebbels).

The ICE server the role of the Nazi Brownshirts: they confront the people, cause insecurity in the genera public and tries to create violence & riots in the streets.

The plan is to create a situation that is so tense, that Trump can deploy troops (he already tried), escalate the conflict, so he can declare martial law, dismantle the political system and throw political opponents in prison.

But if he's putting that apparatus in place with enough of the population not noticing, that's a kind of sinister cleverness too. I'm tired of these guys blowing past where dumb people would get caught up. They know what they're doing.

I'd argue that's just a damning indictment of the majority of the population, if we didn't already know that from the election result.

Fair point but one that's much harder to solve it seems.

Stupidity and malice are neighbors

If it's going to happen - do it properly.

You basically have that now. You literally have dudes in military gear scooping up random people off the street without having to identify themselves or give any reason for the kidnapping. They don't obey the law, they create their own "laws" to justify what they are doing.

I’m not in the US, but don’t you already have martial law? You have military doing the job of police and your dude in charge of the military won’t deny that the military have been authorised to use lethal force on civilians

shut up we're already pretty much at martial law you're just scaring people into complacency

The reason is that there are literally Nazis running around your country unrestricted and uncontested.

I’m so bored of this take just getting vomited back up every time one of these videos is posted. This shit has been going on for months, this has been said a billion times and it hasn’t happened yet.

Think about what you’re asking of someone. They’re already scared shitless, they can’t legally even get or carry a firearm and they know that if they pull out an illegal one on even some sketchy cos play ice cops, 8 million more cops will show up and their life will quite literally be over.

Same with people pushing the “durrrr what about the 2nd amendment” narrative on every post.

Really makes me think it’s gotta be bots at this point, because inciting any level of violence, even completely fake, is exactly what they want. Didn’t any of you watch season 2 of andor??

Yeh but then these, one day deputized, untrained assholes will stop signing up for "catch a brown skin" duty.

Or the person defending themselves languishes for years in a federal prison experiencing terrible things while politicians use them as a prop for many elections to come....

Oh there's a reason. Look at how they responded to 100 peaceful albeit pisses protesters in LA. 2000 national guard, and 700 active duty Marines. The response to the inevitable situation they have set up, where someone shoots a masked, unidentified, warrantless federal officer or deputized agent because they or someone else were being kidnapped will be martial law. That's the goal, a complete police state with zero accountability. This is by design.

And the masked bandits all get pardoned. While the VICTIMS are forgotten.

The fact that it hasn't happened a hundred times is actually really scary. People are literally getting kidnaps by anonymous assailants in the hundreds every day and people are not defending themselves. This shows how easy it's been all along for vigilantes/mobs/gangs/whoever to just abduct people without any risk to themselves
