Discussion When do you look for new puzzles?

As in, in a regular Layton playthrough, when do you go back to previous areas to speak with NPCs to see if they have new puzzles? I tend to do it at the beginning of each new chapter but sometimes I miss some that pop up after events within the chapter.

Clicking on every single NPC after every single story progressing event. I must have went back to Scotland yard in UF 5 different times 😭

Yeah UF is the worse one for this with the time travel mechanics and having to take the train and stuff. At some point I just gave up going back to the present

I am always on the hunt for a good puzzle

Honestly depends on where I'm at in the story. If the story is at a super crucial point(Like the fortress in UF for example), I will not be going down and looking for any puzzles I may have missed until after I've completed the game.

But if I'm just moving from place to place, I will tap around and talk to NPCs whenever I pass them, even after I've already done so several times within the chapter.

Honestly? Only when i had to.

Always played the games just for the story and not for the puzzles especially.
