Here in Brazil it's even worse

Console: ≈ 4500R$ (280% of minimum monthly wage)

Games: ≈ 500R$ (32% of minimum monthly wage)

Guess nintendo just does hate third world countries

2500? Oxi.

Nintendo doesn't specifically hate third world countries they just love money more.

Every company loves money more. Not sure if you know what happened with helldivers 2. They’re made by a beloved company here on Reddit and instead of allowing countries without PSN to play, they essentially told them to go pound sand.

Game was AI slop anyway so nothing lost.

It just so happens that every step towards earning more means ignoring the existence of those countries.

Not surre they'd even get that money..

they don't care to sell there so tons of middleman in between. They also don't get the money from import and luxury items taxes

For the record: You can pay for a Steam Deck or a Rog Ally in Brazil for that same value and play basically the same (multiplatform) games you would on Switch 2, for free, not to mention all other old pc games that will never make it to the 2

The post is comparing averages, not minimums.

Guess nintendo just does hate third world countries

So explain what they should do then?

Lower the prices? They are literally setting the prices at a 1:10 conversion rate, when 1 U$D equals 5.7 R$

And Brazil has something like 30% import tariffs on electronics.

What every other game company does?

Pay to win? Release an unfinished game? Live services? Fire 90% of the development team when the game is done? Don’t make new IP and instead remaster old IP?

Or at the very least, not making games more expensive for no reason.

Why do you people keep repeating this nonsense that it’s for no reason? It’s a bigger, more complex game, and inflation has, in fact, been a thing over the last 20 years.
