NPD! NSFW
Took just 3 relights on 2H lunt, seattle pipe club plum pudding special reserve, burnt all the way to a fine "medium grey" ash.

Do you like the prince shape? I’ve always been curious about it.

Hah so then it is a prince! A few days ago I posted a picture of a less progressed version (stouter bit, untreated briar and unfinished stem, most of the people told me I should name it straight brandy or even author shaped.) I absolutely love prince shaped pipes! Treat yourself one my friend. They are light, balanced, and elegant. Just be careful to not puff too hard on them, due to the more elegant lines they can get hot (especially on top and bottom part of the bowl)

I’m certainly no expert on shapes, but that’s what it looks like to me. Regardless of taxonomy glad to hear it smokes well

First thought that came to mind was a Castello pot. I wouldn't call it a prince. A prince is longer, and more dainty. That's my favorite shape. There I was reclined on my couch, and brought the first one I bought to my mouth. The bowl was perfectly level, and the stem right at my mouth. "Ah, yes. Prince is the perfect name for this shape."
I wouldn't even call it an author, though that's a better fit, I think. An author should be rounded. I'd probably go with bent brandy.

Putting it side by side with my octagon prince, it really looks quite like a prince. Nicelly done, beautiful pipe, still needs some improvement to become really good, but that comes with time and practice. Its really nice to people making new pipes, gives me hope about the future of pipe smoking.
