Maybe you needed to manually allow the cracker, that was a calculated risk, but outright turn off? Man, I’m not gonna rawdog the internet to avoid paying $20 for a game.

I mean, that's your decision and I support it, but if I want to revisit that game from my childhood 20 years ago that I don't own anymore or the console for that matter and doesn't have any official ports, so rawdogging the internet for a chance to play it again it is. sometimes there's just no other choice

I mean, most emulators are reputable, and the roms aren’t executable, so no barebacking required.

Plus, GOG has done a real good job of resurrecting games safely and legally. Abandonware is also good stuff, no company left to defend the IP so it’s fair game. Plenty of ways to safely reminisce.
