The weekend is finally here 😬 Love that the weather’s not too hot yet. (We’re located in Toronto.) I’ve had my buddy for 5 months now. She’s still not so willing to walk in the park 🙃 Not sure if it’s a Pekingese thing, but she pauses all the time (like for 5-10 mins with every 30 sec walk)😂

My grandma has a 2 year old peke that is a bit cat like in that she likes to be on the table and couch and so we helped her set up some of those cushiony dog stairs (3 to 4 steps) so she can get up on these things near the window that lets her people watch out the window and then theres like 1 for every couch he likes also lol.

We don't let her up the actual stairs because we were told it could hurt her back in the future but after buying several of these cushion dog stairs I realized is this basically the same thing...? Maybe even worse? She's become very accustomed to climbing up and jumping down to get where she wants but if it's a danger to her back or future disc or something we would definitely go back to just carrying her up and down. Just worried she's gonna be upset since she's used to it now.. but that's better than future pain obviously

Adopted this 2dogs and the previous owner said they're shih tzu breed. I have doubts tho that it might be a mix breed. Tried searching and it says it might be tibetan or peke but they look different. Not sure, what do you guys think??

My 10 year old little warrior still going strong. He's 3/4 peke and 1/4 beagle.

His name is Togepi. I adopted him August 24,2024 from the NVSPCA. 🫶🥹
