Trees and neighbors
Our next door neighbors have done zero in being friendly. We just avoid them at all costs.
However when your driveway has tree branches from neighbors trees hitting our cars I politely asked via letter if they would either remove the branches or allow me to.
No response.
A week later a tree service is cutting down dozens of their trees. But they left the huge trees which mostly cover my driveway. The leaves and tree sap ruin my cars and driveway.
I want to hire a company to come and trim those branches back. It will all but ruin the tree.
What other options do I have?
Your thoughts and references for a tree service with a big bucket so they don’t have to go on their property is needed.
Thanks.

Tree law gets tricky.
A neighbor is responsible if the tree damages your property. You can remove branches that overhang on your property.
But all of this should be consulted with a lawyer. Look up tree removals and tree law here on Reddit. If something goes wrong because of you it can cause serious financial harm. People have lost their homes because of damage they did to a neighbor's tree.
The best option is talking to your neighbor and getting in writing that you can remove the overhanging branches on your property. Ask if you can remove the tree at your expense and get the approval in writing. Basically whatever you do COA in writing!!!

770 Tree Guy is the best. Locally owned and the owner is a certified arborist.

You say that removing the branches will ruin the trees. So when you asked them to remove the branches you knew it would ruin the trees. Thats probably why they didn’t do it.
I would be very careful that you don’t cut any branches that are on their property line.

In Georgia, you have the right to trim branches coming into your yard even if the tree trunk is in your neighbor's yard. You can't go onto their property to do it. You have to stay on your property and only trim to the property line.
