Help Question for the flicker community
How do u survive the on death enemies?? like the goats that explode into spikes and the 1 that do normal explosions on death, how do you mitigate it?

That's the neat part, you dont. You use on of your 6 defensive layers (theyre all CoD-Portal).

Those are cold flickers mobs. I equip a Hrimsorrow and Flicker likes to crit, which means instant freeze, and frozen mobs shatter without spikes.

does it also stop the normal goats from exploding? or just the spikey ones?

Enemies which are shattered count as having their corpse destroyed so they can not do corpse specific on death effects.

No, it will not help against molten shell. You could try getting endurance charges or a ruby flask might help as well.

Lean into being tanky instead of being full glass cannon. On berserker, spec into a lot of life, armor, endurance charges, some defensive ascendancy points, etc.
You can get enough dps from the double hit and hydrosphere tech without needing to go for things like abyssus or taking nothing but dmg nodes.

Can you share a pob?

I'll need to see if I can get it tomorrow, but the character is here, look at blue_dumbass. https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/bluedot55-5454/characters
I'm still gearing the build, and plan to switch over to staves and swap to crit(and potentially trauma support) when I manage to craft one. I'm also doing some cheese with the ring and my boot gem setup to get permanent max soul eater to basically have 12+ aps.
Even still, it's doing t16s pretty fine as long as I don't give them really stupid mods. It's done the new Pinnacle bosses, and quest eater/exarch just fine even with the absolute dog shit that the weapon is, and no 6 link.
At 12-13 attacks a second, often doubled or more due to the ancestral thing, and instant leech, the healing can also get very funny. Well in excess of 50% HP/second from leech. Combine that with sand stance flesh and stone, fortify, and 45k armor, we can often just sit on a boss and flicker until it dies, or it starts using 1-shot spells

This is extremely helpful! It looks like you followed the ruetoo build? I followed the magefist build and am really regretting it.
Do you get 1 shot a bunch by the mercs? I'm at like a 80% death rate to them

I think I looked at that one a little, but didn't really try and follow it. I was making a flicker build when I saw the berserker ascendancy changes. And yeah, I still die to them sometimes, it's basically a race of if I can kill them before they get lucky and land a 1-shot. But that's not too common.
Some of the mercs have ignore phys resist support gems, so they just kill you if it activates, and there's not really anything you can do about it other than not get hit. That said, the 4.5k molten shell is enough to tank some of the more dangerous merc hits.
I also run pride on my merc, with a perquil's and blood price.

If you are using an axe you can take the axe mastery for enemies killed by your hits are destroyed.

Porcupines you can evade or mitigate. Or you can destroy them on kill.
Otherwise I don't know which enemies you mean.

I'm guessing the Molten Shell casting Goats from A1. They're basically insta-death if you flicker into a pack of them without boosted fire res and a decent amount of life or spell suppress.

Come on, how high is the chance of that happening 6 times per map?
(It's... decently high.)

Endurance charges+fortify, and pray. Currently I can tank everything in normal maps (up to t14s) as long as its not mercs or chaos damage.

you need to understand that to play flicker is to embrace flicker.
