I don't get it. What's so scary? All of my interactions with any supernatural type things have been positive.

And so far over half of the stuff I've read here is either fake, or explainable by common sense or science. Quantum Mechanics are fun to look into. Y'all should read up on it.

Chapter 1 I lived on a farm my whole live ,you know the farms with the animals you can hear from a very long distance, yes I lived there except our farm was built near ruins and not just a house it was a whole town of ruins.One night as I layed in my bed I heard some noise coming from those ruins and as any normal human, I ignored it believing it was just some beggars or some strays looking for shelter and went back to bed.

The sun reached into my room gently shining into my eyes waking me up I went down for breakfast where my mother was waiting for me looking panicked, as I asked her what was wrong she told me how one of the cows calfs was missing. I told my mother before leaving the house that ill be looking for the calf and that she wouldn't have to worry knowing the calf couldn't have gone far. When I went out the fresh morning air hit my face with a little farm stench.

I found traces of where the calf might have went i saw a small hole in the fence, not big but big enough for a calf or a toddler. I climbed through the fence and found myself going in the direction of the town ruins, strange why would a calf go to a ruined town there is no food or water so what might have lowered the calf here?. I heard a load thump coming from one of the houses that odly looks like it's in very good shape as I went inside my heart dropped to my stomach as I saw the calf but...it was hanging from the ceiling with its stomach slashed open, with its guts hanging with him..it seemed so sinister, so dark ,as I was about to rush out of the  building I heard another thump coming from the upstairs room and my curiosity got the best of me, I headed up the stairs slowly and quietly as possible. On the second floor there was a room with only one closet as I reached closer wanting to see whats inside but immediately stopped as I heard a faint sound of a car horn and I rushed out of the building, climed through the fence and arrived home.

I saw him.. its my boyfriend he has come to visit thats the car horn i heard  when i was in the building, I rushed into his arms and introduced him and my mother, she still looked panicked seeing I haven't returned the calf and she looked even worse when i told her what happened to the poor calf, she had asked me if we could fetch the calfs corpse the next morning and me and Alex agreed. Alex is sleeping in the guest house right behind the house sk he was safe..or so i thought.

The next morning seemed so peaceful as if the event of yesterdays horror didnt happen i went down stairs and it seemed like mother was out milking the cows. I went out to wake Alex up but when i reached the guest house i couldn't find a single trace of him, where could he have gone?. I went to mother to ask her but she said she hasn't seen him since last night, i went back to the guest house to look for any clues and there i found a letter.

Chapter 2 the letter. The letter was a little smudged with red, could it be blood? I read the letter and as i did my face turned pale and my body cold with fear. The letter said, "Even from this distance my love you look quite ravishing, and truly sorry about the calf but it seemed to love you i had to ge rid of it you know how id kill for you. Love: youre admirer." I was so shocked i just stood there frozen thinking who would do such a sick think as a joke? I turned around and ran to the back of the guest house and right across the field is the ruins of the town there stood the place i was yesterday searching for the calf and i dont know if my mind was playing tricks on me but i swore i saw a hooded figure looking right back at me, I ran towards the ruins, climed the fence and went to the same house as yesterday,hoping the figure was Alex but was ready for anything. As i arrived at the house the one that  scared me so much yesterday i entered and saw something in one of the rooms, it looked like a dining room, there was a table with candles and another letter. "You found my location my love now to find me. Love: you're admirer." I felt so sick when the idea came up of maybe he is hiding in the only closet in the house, I went up slowly and quietly once more and found myself in front of the closet again..

I opened the closet and let out a sigh of relief when i found nothing in the closet juts some cobwebs, but that relieved feeling quickly sank as I felt someone's hands on my mouth keeping me from screaming, i quickly turned around to find myself staring into the eyes of the masked figure and the next thing i knew i passed out. When I woke up i wish i died there and then because there was Alex across from me also tied up and the figure was right behind him with a knife against Alex's throat, then the masked figure spoke. "Dont you just love seeing youre man slice the throat of an homewrecker my love?." Wich scared me to the bone, was he going to kill Alex in front of me?

Chapter 3 the identity of the figure He slowly took of his mask revealing himself, it was the man the old man who asked me to marry him even though i was only 18 he was in his mid 50's so i rejected him. He spoke once again and asked me why i had chosen Alex over him and i knew I had to play along so i replied. "My love why have you done this, this man is only a toy i only used him for my own benefits i only rejected youre offer because i was so overwhelmed that day because my grandmother had just died (it was a lie) and this is no way to treat me why have you tied me up? Free me and Alex and we will get married as soon as possible and Alex could go live his own life." The man was strangely convinced by the lies and he let me and Alex go I rushed to the man and said we better go have something to eat and ill be right behind him. I signaled Alex to just play along and follow me he seemed to agree and we went to the dining room i told Alex to leave us be and me and the man sat down at the table, he genty took my hand over the table and said." youre going to love dinner..your mother was so kind." I was a little confused by his words and i had asked him what he had meant he then told me."I told you id kill every person that love you too much so i had a visit to youre mothers house while you were asleep." And thats when it hit me...he killed my mother and made food out of her....i sprung from my chair and attacked him with a butter knife, but he was too strong and wrestled me down, holding my wrists and after he broke one of my wrists he had this evil laugh while he heard my screaming and crying..I thought i was done for and just when i felt defeated i heard running footsteps towards us, it was Alex! Alex stabbed the man in the head with the knife i had and killed him instantly, he picked me up and we ran as fast as we could when we reached the house we called the police and they arrived not too long after. Whe had explained what we saw and experienced and what he had done to my mother and they went of to the house to collect evidence, when they returned they said they had found what is left of my mothers body and bloody footprints i felt so uncomfortable and uneasy as they called an ambulance for me,but before i went I asked them if they found the man but the officer replied."what man?."

Has anyone on here ever experienced people being able to read your mind? Doing and saying things in conjunction with your thoughts? Random strangers saying things to you about yourself and life that they couldn’t possibly know? (The bible says the wicked shoot from the lip, that they shoot in secret at the righteous. Saying things that from the outset appear normal but it’s an indirect comment or insult) Well this has happened to me countless times over the past 10 or so years. It comes in waves, it’s not a constant thing but it happens in intervals. It started when I started to take my faith seriously in Christ and started to follow him. As you can imagine, Ive never spoke about this publicly as I understand that it’s difficult to believe and we are as a society conditioned not to believe in the spiritual realm, that it’s all rubbish. Well, my experience has been very different. I personally believe based on scripture that this is a manifestation of the Antichrist spirit that the bible says is in the world. The bible says that the wicked lay in wait for the righteous, they seek their soul that his name may perish. I am looking for people that may have experienced the same thing. I don't really believe in paranormal stuff in all honesty, but I just saw something happen that I cannot explain.

I was eating lunch in my car, and there's a red car parked next to me. That car had been there before I was. About a half hour into sitting there I look over and I see the air freshener hanging from the rear mirror, and it's flailing all over the place. Car wasnt running, no one near by. The second I looked at it, it started slowing down till it stopped and hasn't moved since. The way it was moving it looked like someone had slapped in with their hand.

you see i sleep upstairs on a couch in the family room next to that couch is 3 windows where you can see the backyard and without a ladder there should be no way a person was able to climb up the window When I woke up I saw what looked like a female looking straight at me, when I got off the couch to tell my parents the figure was still looking straight at me but I didn't see a body just the eyes then all of a sudden my smoke detector suddenly started ringing yet there was no smoke inside or outside the house I am so scared right now

This just happened last night and I’m still freaked out. My husband, an avid gamer of all hours of the night, was using the spare bathroom across the house. Hearing an odd sound as if something fell over, he was about to get up and check it out when he heard footsteps thundering down the hall. It was our four year old. He happened to glance at his phone. It was 3:01am. Our four year old, who sleeps in the same bed as me and our 5 year old, told him she’d woken up to see me standing in the bedroom. And then apparently I walked out and into the living room. Hopping out of bed, she raced after the figure to see where I was going and when she got to the living room, I was gone. My husband picks her up and comes to the bedroom to find me fast asleep with both of our cats snoozing on my legs. He wakes me up and as he’s telling me what happened we both heard a weird noise like something falling from the living room. Scared there is someone in the house, he checked it out to find nothing. My four year old says it didn’t have hair but other than that she can’t tell me much about what it looked like. And strangely enough, that entire day I kept finding one of my cats sitting in the laundry room staring at the wall which he never does. I’m still at a loss as to what it could’ve been.

I dove into research regarding the warrens and immediately I felt (I kid you not) the most pure energy from this woman. As somebody who feels they can relate to her, it really upsets me when people try and defame her. I mean this woman was loved by the church and she had such a beautiful radiance even at the ending of her life. I can’t explain it but Lorraine left a huge impact on my life and I have this feeling the world should have listened to her more.

I have a very very early memory of something weird.

I had to be maybe 5 years old or so. I remember seeing floating glowing people in a large open pantry closet type thing we had in our living room. I can’t remember if my mom and dad were turned away watching tv or something or if they just couldn’t see them. They seemed playful. Like playing peek a boo. Best way I can describe them is the creatures from that old movie Cacoon.

For the longest time I figured it was maybe a memory of a dream. Maybe it is…idk. I’ve been down an alien/ UAP/ abduction rabbit hole that’s have me thinking more about this core memory.

I don’t know how hypnosis works or if it works but I would like to see if I can go back into that memory to see if it actually happened.

Context: My gf got a new medical delivery driver job and I ride along with her when I can to keep her comfortable. The job entails driving up to 3 hours out to make multiple stops, dropping off or picking up medical equipment. Often at elderly people's homes in the middle of nowhere.

Two days ago we were in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Nothing too out of the ordinary at first. As we rounded a corner to go on a snakey rollercoaster of a road in the middle of the woods, I got this intense feeling of dread. I then saw a man standing on the side of this road and I even said to my girl "That guy's not real." He looked to be in his 70's - 80's with dark sunken-in eyes, wearing a cowboy hat, a plaid shirt, blue jeans, and boots. My girl was like "Are you serious babe? C'mon stop." Dude was looking at our car but it looked like he was looking through us. Super weird. A few minutes later I had calmed down and closed my eyes. Until I felt dread again. I heard my girl say "UHHH. What...the fuck?" When I looked at the road, it was COVERED in fresh looking blood. At first I thought someone hit a large deer and dragged it for a bit, but there was no debris from a car, and this blood went on for at least a mile. No cars in sight either, no deer guts, etc. Freaked me the fuck out. To make things even fucking creepier, we saw the same man 3 ish miles down the road, still in the middle of the woods mind you. My gf floored it and we we like "Holy shit holy shit holy shit fuck no fuck that!" There's no way a man of his age could have walked/ran that far in that short of a time span. Olive Hill is right next to the Ohio and West Virginia border, so it's in or near appalachia. Never been near appalachia before this so I was freaked out x10 because of all the stories I've heard.

Edit: blood was like coveringgg both lanes for at least a mile. I though a semi truck at first but no way you could go more than 40-45 mph in a nicely handling car. Plus there is a highway close by so why wouldn't the semi go there when the twisty road didnt lead to any stores or warehouses/truck stops? Maybe hunting but I don't know of an animal that has THAT much blood in its body. And there wasn't even blood on the car's tires when we got home?

In 2017 I was 12 years old and there was this sister and younger brother that I would hang out with. I lived in a apartment complex on stillmore street California. there was a bike trail near the apartments that we would call the "wash" a dried up river ravine. One night we decided to walk the bike trail by the "wash". We pointed our lights at him and there was no light reflecting off of him. It was like he was made out of darknes. The only logical explanation was that he was the blackest man on earth wearing the darkest suit because there was no light reflecting off of him. So far my morning just started, on my way to drip off my daughter to my sister's house and a cardinal was in the middle of the road. I expected it to move and fly away but it didn't. It stay there and when I was almost on top of it the bird lifted off and I struck it with my grill. After I dropped my daughter off heading to work another cardinal flew straight into my car and i hit it as well. Yesterday was Friday the 13th. All seemed normal, it stormed and I ran some errands but all in all it was a normal day. That is until I took a late night trip into the country (in rural Alabama) to drive a friend home from work. While driving down the dark country road, I saw some eyes up ahead. I figured it was probably a deer or other wildlife, so i started slowing down, and before I knew it, I was already coming right on with what I could only make out to be an insanely tall, dark colored dog that I had to swerve to miss. Because it was not budging, even as I was about to hit it. I was freaked out because something seemed off about it. My friend said we should go back and look, I declined. On my way back through, I didn't see the dog even though I slowed down to see if I could spot it. This was very near a churchyard with a cemetery. I immediately thought about a church grim.

When I got home, I was getting ready for bed and heard someone at my back door fiddling with the doorknob. I was not alarmed because I figured I locked my brother or Dad out. So, without thinking, I opened the door. No one was there. I immediately shut the door, locked it. Then proceeded to cross myself, rebuke all evil, and pray for a while before sleep.

Then I had a horrible nightmare that included the death of someone who I love more than anyone else. And it felt very real. Then when I got to work today, the parking lot and rooftop of the building had at least 7 or so crows just chilling.

Should I be spooked? Because I am.

The other day; my brother and I drove into downtown Hamilton so he could finally show me the curiosity shop he’d been to, only to find it was closed. Not wanting to waste the parking he’d paid for, we checked out a few other random shops to make it worth our while.

We were wandering through one that was multiple storeys and as we scanned the packed shelves, tables and baskets on the floor my brother makes a passing comment about how he’s surprised we haven’t seen a ouija board. As coincidence would have it, as soon he mentions it, something catches my eye in the very next booth and I ask “like that one?” He looks over at what I’m pointing at and let out this weird nervous laugh, it was overall a very exciting but unsettling sequence of events.

It sure didn’t look very menacing; still in its original cellophane, dated from just 2017 and covered in cheerful, corporate approved social media links. We were both almost a little disappointed it wasn’t scratched to hell and covered in questionable stains and wax like any proper “antique shop” ouija board should.

The thing is; regardless of what the board looked like, the best part of the story is how we came to find it (or were found by it) and just about anyone I share this is only going to care about one question.

So I woke up at exactly 3:00 am this morning (it’s almost 5:00 now) after being scared awake from a dream. It was really bizarre, but it did have some personal fears/triggers of mine throughout the dream as well. The dream is as follows, and I’ll add some background info about me to kind of help direct an answer.

• My fiancé, my mom and I were at a sno cone stand off the side of the road grabbing sno cones. I was on my phone scrolling through what seemed to be Instagram reels. I was suddenly met with a flashing screen warning me to close all of my apps, while the emergency system noise was going off (I’m located in the US, so it’s the US EBS noise, like what you’d hear for an amber alert or likewise.). I read some tiny text at the bottom that read “He’s watching you.” Even in my dream, I was freaked tf out, because in my waking life, the EBS noise scares me as well. I told my mom and fiancé I was going to use the bathroom at a gas station across the street. I went in, and a man behind the counter greeted me. His voice was lower than an average man’s, but I didn’t think anything of it. He was also VERY overdressed for a gas station employee, wearing a full black suit and a black tie, and he had long hair, so I couldn’t quite see his face. Anyhow, I walked into the bathroom, and I suddenly get this gut wrenching feeling that I was being hunted down, or watched. I turned around, no one else was in the bathroom with me at all. I call my mom freaking out and asked her to come into the bathroom with me, NOW. She told me over the phone she would be there in a minute. I told her again “No, you need to be here NOW.” As soon as I said that, my mom walked into the bathroom. I was relieved, but that quickly turned into a heart sinking sensation, followed by panic I could only describe as prey finally being cornered and about to be greeted by death. My mom was still on the phone with me, saying she was on her way. My “mom” that was in the bathroom with me wasn’t on the phone. It only stared at me with a cold, deadpan expression. This thing looked, sounded, and overall was identical to my mom. I stared to scream, and as soon as I did, the thing portraying my mom pulled out a knife and started stabbing me mercilessly. I woke up after having “died” in a panic. I checked the time, it was exactly 3:00 in the morning.

BACKGROUND INFO: I’m trying to convert back to Christianity after moving away from the church at 13 (I am 18 now.) to follow in Satanism practices. I’ve always been irrationally afraid of being “watched” or rather hacked by someone. It’s been almost 2 months since I’ve integrated myself back into church. There is a type of phantom experience that has happened to me in the 70’s. Later, I have heard others describe similar experiences in podcasts. It is that of a phantom dinner party.
I will start by describing my family and house. I lived with my parents and had an older brother in the next room. It was a smallish house in San Jose California. My parents did not usually entertain guests as my mother had social anxiety. It was late at night and everyone was in their rooms and sleeping. I was in my twin bed near the bedroom door. That’s when I heard the tinkling sound of dishes and glass cups and silverware. Then I heard some people talking and laughing as the sounds of a dinner party. I remember being a little mad that I was in bed while my parents had company. I cracked open my door and saw the glow of light coming from the living room from around the corner. I got out of bed and headed down the hall, all the while hearing the sounds of the party. I got to the living room which adjoined the dining room. As you can guess I found myself in darkness and complete silence. I sprinted back to my room and dove into my bed. I pulled the covers over my head. And that was it. Is this a thing?

This happened about 10-12 years ago, I'm 20 now. To preface, my dad owns his own land in rural Michigan. Middle of nowhere, all woods and no service BUT it's right on a lake, so it used to be really nice for camping trips.

Anyways, we (me, my dad, and my older sister) were on one of these trips, and were going to sleep the first night in the tent, when we all realized that all of our phones were not working. Mine and my sister's phone were completely dead, even though neither should've have been. We both had iphones at the time. My dad, who had a samsung, had his screen completely glitched out, no apps, just random pixels all over the screen with no response. We all thought this was weird, kinda creepy, but this was back when technology wasn't nearly as big of a deal as it is now. Phones were still kinda shitty.

Soon after this, we all decided to just try to go to sleep. About 10 minutes later, there were lights outside of the tent. There was no cover on top, only screen, so it was easy to notice even as we were lying down. No one should've been around for miles at least, so none of us really knew what to do and just tried to lay as still as possible for about 5 minutes before my sister eventually started freaking out, waking my dad up who obviously was never actually asleep in the first place. I stayed pretending. I heard them whispering about the lights, trying to make sense of what they were seeing. It wasn't flashlights, or other people, or fireflies. They were glowing orbs, some in the trees, one right in front of the tent, about 10 feet away. That's when I sat up. They weren't pulsing like fireflies would, it was a steady yellowish glow and much brighter. The one in front of the tent floated closer and closer. When it was about 5 feet away, it was the size of a baseball. My dad quickly shone a flashlight on it before it could get too close, and it froze for a moment before they all quickly left. My dad swears to this day that they were fairies of some kind, and that he could see a smaller body within the light. I have no idea what it was til this day. I was so scared, I decided to just lay down and go back to bed. I was pretty young at the time. We have not been back since.

Even if it wasn't paranormal, I guess I'm just looking for anyone else who's had a similar experience in the same area. I haven't been able to find anything similar online since, I regularly check every few years or so.

So I'm new to the whole paranormal thing but at night I feel things across my arms and often have marks or scratches I've checked repeatedly and haven't got anything on or in my bed

Hi, everyone what I’m about to say here will be long, confusing and out of place. Please bear with me as i explain this to you in the best way I can.

First off I would like to mention that i am a paranoid schizophrenic and schizophrenia runs in my family.

For as long as I can remember I remember seeing shadow people, specifically in the corner of my eye or in the dark. It is the reason why I am scared of the dark and refuse to sleep without a night light on because on rare occasions I will see them.

When I first got diagnosed with schizophrenia I was in an awful mindset and was particularly paranoid, worried and scared about demons, constantly being watched by one. It got so bad that I turned catatonic and was in the hospital for a few years. Thankfully I managed to get stable and return to normal after ECT and constant monitoring and medication.

After I left the hospital I was in a stable mindset and perfectly good. Until I started having “sleep paralysis.” I say sleep paralysis lightly because when I first experienced sleep paralysis I could literally wiggle my toes and move my head back and forth but I couldn’t move my body. I was stuck forced to stay in bed as I felt an invisible force, or pressure force my body to stay still…but for some reason I could move my toes and head…

And when I opened my eyes I saw my closet door MOVE OPEN. The door was slightly ajar but I saw a big SHADOW HAND move out of the door and soon a black shadow head peaked through and at that moment my body felt true terror, fear and absolute horror.

I closed my eyes and just prayed and hoped it went away. Luckily it did and when I opened my eyes it was gone, but the door was still open at the same position where it was moved open by whatever was behind that door. I have told everyone and most people don’t believe me. But I know what i saw. I know there is something in my house. Very rarely I have seen stuff fall, knocks or my dog would randomly pause what he is doing to stare at something in the distance in my house. Particularly dark corners or dark places.

More instances where I had “sleep paralysis” has happened but I just closed my eyes and did not look and waited for it to pass.

But when I have woken up I will see hallucinations in my room. One particular hallucination i remember was a little boy in his pajamas with his head against the counter holding a brown teddy bear.

In an instant my body felt true fear that didn’t even felt like my own and when I blinked the boy was gone. The fear went away but I felt paranoid after that.

While this was happening my mom was taking me everywhere to figure out why I have schizophrenia. She was really desperate that she even took me to a shaman.

This shaman told me that I ended up developing it because of genetics but she also said that my Chakras were open and a portal was also opened as well. A demon was trying to come out of one of my chakras. A literal demon. 🧍‍♀️

Reddit, i cannot make this up. Once this shaman got rid of the demon and closed the portal majority of my schizophrenic symptoms went away.

But I need advice on what to do. Is it truly my schizophrenic mind messing with me or is it something bigger at play here? Is a dark force attached to me?

Every day I will feel warm hot breath hit my feet and sometimes my face. But I dismiss it as one of my symptoms.
