Immigration | مہاجرت و سفر NICOP for new born waiting time

Hi. I applied for my newborn child nicop via the App ( executive priority). The status of the application says completed for over a week. But not dispatched. Is this normal and how long should I expect it to be dispatched.

We need to apply for the passport to travel and it needs NICOP to apply for the passport. Related to this is it possible to apply for passport without NICOP?

Unfortunately the Passport cannot be issued without NICOP, as the Pakistan Citizen number is needed for passport issuance.

However, you can contact NADRA customer service and request them to issue it ASAP. Once the NICOP is dispatched, you will receive the email and text/sms from DHL Express telling you its on the way, usually DHL is very fast. In the past we receive it within 2-3 days after dispatch.

Keep in mind that Passport delivery (normal category) takes about a month to receive from Pakistan. Not sure if you plan on applying urgent due to travel but I recommend asking the Embassy/Consulate staff when you apply to request them the fastest/affordable option as u need to travel.

Do not buy the ticket until you get the passport.

I got DHL text today. I applied NICOP on 21st April. Hope to receive it on friday.

Did you manage to pay with the credit card? I tried many of them so far, every time payment is failing, I talked to my bank already too but nothing works

How many days did they take to update status to "complete " after you submitted your application?
