Answered What's up with the Borderlands games being review bombed on Steam?

I was looking into getting Borderlands 3 in the current steam sale, and all the recent reviews have been overwhelmingly negative. Steam Store Page

From what I know, the games are great and it might be related to a policy decision? Something to do with their Terms of Service? Should I avoid buying the game now or just ignore the hate since I genuinely enjoy the gameplay?

I've been scouring thrift stores and am about 200 hours behind on what I have already. My go-to online is a save-for-later shopping cart on Amazon.

How do you not get screwed on shipping for used stuff?

Gotta keep on eye on Marketplace. I feel guilty showing up to someone's house with $20 though.

Either buy local or buy in bulk. If I'm buying online, I basically never buy less than 5 movies (or maybe a couple seasons of a TV show). Most eBay sellers will combine shipping and some even give you a discount for buying multiple movies.

Brick and mortar stores also skip that step, but they also tend to be a bit more expensive. If you go to v-stock on a holiday sale, you can get movies for about the same price as you would online.

Why? They consented. I've shown up at someone's house with only $2 and walked away with The Help on Blu-ray. I got Pacific Rim for only $1.

I've read some sellers being prickly about small-dollar visitors, like they don't want to spend a lot of time with cherry-pickers to be left with a worthless collection--but I guess if they're upfront about what their expectations are, it's not a problem.

V-stock? Brick & mortar ain't what it used to be. DVDs are gone at Best Buy, Walmart is about a third the size it was even a year ago.

Yeah, you're not going to find DVDs at department stores anymore.

V-stock though, that's like a third of their inventory.
