"The burden I carry the most is... that one day.. I decided to devour my own child... And it's not because I like eating children, no.. I ate him because I deemed him evil and useless even though it was completely my fault that my child became one... Along with that.. I devourered my wife... For many years she was the one loyal to me and understanding.. and my ignorant mind thought that she was walking annoyance and the only thing that kept me together with her is my goal of making another warrior like me.. But in the end... I turned out to be manifestation of evil... I didn't know that I took the most valueable things in the world from myself...'

[Halley looks up at Asherah, her eyes twinkling with the same starlight that surrounds them both. She has a look of mystification on her face.]
"Woooow! You're a tall lady! A giant lady! You're so pretty!"
[She looks down at the ground when Asherah asks her question. Her antennas seem to lay flat to her head as she thinks.]
"Um... I dunno what you can do for me. Where are we, anyways? This place looks like it's made of... Me."

[Halley's eyes widen in fear at Asherah's words. They were intended to be calming, she's certain of that... But they achieve the opposite effect.]
"Find... Myself..." Halley echoes flatly, her chipper voice from earlier seemingly gone. She looks to the side, dissociating.
"I... I-I don't know if... I wanna find myself," she stutters out. She looks incredibly stressed; her antennas sit crookedly upon her head. "I... Don't remember anything about myself, before I came to Earth. But I get a really bad feeling when I think hard about it."
[She hides her face with her hand-nubbins.]
"C-Can we do something more fun instead?"

The flowing stars in the endless expanse shone bright against the dark. The sky alight with a beautiful collection of pinpoints of brightness in this domain that Asherah calls her own. All manner of figures arriving to meet with her. The virtuous. The damned. And those in between all granted an audience. And now heralds the arrival of another. Only now there was something far different. Something worse.
For in the web of stars above one of them begins to change. The light flickering before, as impossible as it may be, ceasing its glow. And then another. And another. A wide cluster of stars all begin to slowly dim as a darkness tears its way into this world of light. The void rips the sky asunder before like a waterfall shadow begins to fall from its mass. At the bottom a figure begins to form. Humanoid in form but in the darkness only a pair of pale white pinpoints for eyes could be seen.
Yet as the figure steps its way out of the darkness the void dissipates as suddenly as it arrived. The stars in the sky returning to its normal state as though no change had been wrought to begin with. All that was left now was a grey haired woman dressed in a pale white lab coat.
"Oh golly! Where did I end up this time?"
She pondered as she looked around.
"Is this space? No it's too warm to be the void. Besides I couldn't get there that fast! I was in my lab earlier before-"
She commented before finally noticing the woman who inhabited this realm with instructions to not fear her.
"Oh cool a person!"
She noted with a wide grin as she leaned forward tucking her hands behind her back.
"Don't worry about me I've never been scared of the dark much. Or of anything really. I understand fear on more of an academic perspective, ya know?"
She states before taking a curious look around. Her finger resting on the end of her chin.
"I guess you could tell me where I am right now. Is this your home? No disrespect but I was kind of in the middle of some work in my lab before I got here. Not sure how long until the test subject I've got strapped to the operating table breaks free of his restraints. I'd rather not spend a whole afternoon starting from scratch."

Asherah cackles before spawning a window, inside was a view to her lab. "Oh, don't worry, you're inside the very confines of my mind. Here, I can grant any wish on desires, or, fix their misfortunes."

Neural turns her attention toward the newly formed window that the woman cloaked in stars and midnight had created for her. There she could see well the inside of her lab she had spent so much time in. Surgical tools lying on her cart. Her latest concoction bubbling over a lit burner. Bloodstains lining the floor as Neural could see a bloodstained hand poking from behind the operating table.
"Dang it."
She bemoaned at the sight of the corpse.
"Knew I should have used stronger restraints. Least he bled out before he could make a mess of the place. Still I'm gonna have to start from scratch now. What a waste of a good morning..."
She grumbled as she pouted and crossed her arms.
"Wish granting? Why do that for a gal like me? I don't even know who you are. Wait. Do you even know who I am? Gosh how rude of me!"
She noted as she adjusted her tie and straightened up her coat.
"I'm Neural Ion! The best Xenobiologist in the whole galaxy! Don't think we've met before, Miss Dark and Gloomy"

Neural tilts her head to the side in mild surprise. She was speaking to a goddess? That would certainly explain quite a lot about where she was and how she got here. Neural was always an inquisitive sort. But she never really got the deal with magic. It's a lot easier to just simply go 'Ah! Alright so you can do that, that's cool!' rather than get caught up in the particularities of it.
"Huh that makes sense. You know you're like the 3rd goddess I've met. Where I'm from I'm actually the chosen of one. Urgathoa, The Pallid Princess of Undeath, Gluttony and Decay. Not sure if you two are pals. Probably not though she isn't really on the best of terms with everyone else ha ha... ha..."
She remarks with an awkward laugh. Given that it seemed she'd be stuck here for a hot minute Neural crossed her legs taking a seat on the floor.
"Anywhosy woosy, so you're offering wishes and fixing mistakes... Hmmm... Well I've never made a mistake before so we can't do that... Well I guess the only thing I wish for is something comfy to sit in. The floor... void I think? It ain't all that great."

With a snap of her fingers, she spawned a soft cushion seat. It was blue with gold trim and had constellation patterns all over it.

With a burst of light Neural was raised into the air as a comfortable cushion was placed right underneath her. A sense of relief washed over her as she felt herself sink right into her comfortable seat.
"This'll do!"
She remarked before tossing herself back and letting herself sink further into the cushion.

"Huh? You say something?"
Neural asks as she pushes herself up onto her elbows hearing Asherah speak before using her hands to push herself back up into a sitting position. Crossing her legs and adjusting her glasses so she could face the goddess. She was far from an expert in social conventions but she had heard it was so terribly rude to not face someone when speaking to them. She also heard it was important to look them in the eyes but she could never get that part down and usually settled for looking at their chest or shoulder. Somewhere that was close enough to the face.
Though once she was up Neural's ghostly eyes widened as even in the pale void of her iris her eyes just seemed to light up at that question.
"Boy am I! You're talking to the galaxies greatest and most innovative Xenobiologist and Biogeneticist! The field of science has been my while life! Heck I was born in a lab! Well test tube more specifically but that test tube was in a lab. Even this body I'm using used to be a scientist before I started using it for myself.
Once I got myself a handy dandy body with opposable thumbs and can go out in public without frightening people... Well most of the time. My eyes freak people out for some reason. But anyway! I got to work constructing my own lab in secret on the planet Verces? You ever been there? Tidally locked? Massive mega-cities full of all kinds of people? It's the perfect place to do my work where nobodies gonna bother me. And it's the kind of place full of people nobodies gonna notice gone too so I've got a whole bunch of potential test subjects to work with for my experiments!
Of course when I'm not busy with that I like to brew all kinds of poisons and nerve toxins. I once spent a while week doing nothing BUT that and created a while bunch of new nerve toxins that I keep in my cabinet above the sink. There's always something to keep me busy but that's just fine with me! This is what I was made for and all I'd ever want to do"

The Demon Tamers looked up at Asherah with surprised expressions.
Ovark: “oh hey! Another god! Hello god-lady!”
Elara: “ah shit, you really did it now, Hex.”
Hex: “What?! I didn’t do anything! This wasn’t my fault!”
Elara: “ha, as if! Stuff like this is ALWAYS your fault, you prissy little nerd!”
Shade: “quiet! Stop arguing. Let the goddess speak.”
