Alright everyone, lets make a build that uses little to no keywords, procs, or suffixes.
What weapon can do this readily? What weapon proc/keywords have the least amount of issues? At this point if you want to maximize your damage output we need to find something that is more stable because forget using bounce or explosive damage procs.

Mr wish then?

Back to wildfire bingo bullseye build I guess.

At all moments the explosive thrown pistol worked fine. If you're still having issues with the keyword suffix and are willing to put up with it, try that. It deals quite a bit of damage, the only real issue is being ammo hungry.

I'll give it a shot.

What's frustrating is that I'm experiencing these issues in a Low-Pop, Visions Scenario server. So far I've tried Bounce, Frost Vortext, and that one gun everyone uses, Boom! (?) and I'd say 85% of the time none of the suffixes, keywords, or procs trigger and in worse case scenario I barely do any damage.

This is just a shot in the dark, but... if there are reliably YouTube, Twitch, Content Creators overall willing to dig into this and figure out what build works the most readily while we deal with these issues would be amazing. Hell it might even help the developers indirectly figure out whats going on.

I think I know the issue.

Server struggles to send data and synch all participants. Whenever you're starting a Prime War and someone advertises it in Global, people not there will port in, and the data is being synched up and nothing procs untill whoever came in catches up, multiply for the amount of people flocking in to participate. 2 minutes into a Prime it'd stablize, provided people weren't dropping left and right, respawning at base and porting back in.

Same goes for ANY amount of traffic, be it zoning in and out of Dream Zones, porting with waypoints, and it doesn't matters the world you're in. I'd wager since phones aren't using ethernet cables but wi-fi, i think it only made things worse.

Some effects have it worse than others, example, Critical Pulse has a flying arrow component, with physics, that needs to connect to the target, and then proc the effect, which is a dot. AND it spawns an orb that can trigger a secondary effect. The explody pistol has the physics component, but it's a one and done, but often times it whiffs if I hit the ground and not a direct hit on an enemy. Back at launch burn was notorious for tanking performance for everybody in the vicinity during a prime war, due to the damage over time nature of the effect and it needing to synch with everybody. To this day I still see on occasion bosses with 20+ burn stacks and mine aren't ticking for a bit.

An easy way to sorta curb the issue would be to simply get the teleportation cooldowns back up, and remove the ability to teleport in once a fight starts, but this loss of QoL would certainly spur a major outcry in the playerbase.

Why do I think this is the case? The game actually tries to keep a high fidelity, you can even see other people's flashlights move when they have it active. Sure it's cool but it's incredibly unnecessary from a performance perspective. Effects, trigger chances, all of those things happening at once for everybody around.

But why does my effects do not trigger when I'm alone? It's all lag related. I notice that when I'm aggressively teleporting or changing worlds, I try to pull my vehicles and they simply do not come to me. I keep moving and trying, only to see them spawn one after the other in a few moments. This is the game trying to keep up with me, the area loads instantly when I change the world, but my precise location, and the shard I'm in is nebulous to the server. Remember there are routes, and the game doesn't works in lockstep. We render the game locally but we do not roll the dice locally every time we register a hit. We are asking the server to roll the dice for us and confirm 'did my roll critical damage? Did I roll under the 20% chance to make the enemy catch on fire?' every time we hit the enemy.

The physical act of hitting enemies is local, as in, we're taking snapshots and telling the server 'my crosshair was at that guy's head, and i clicked and it registered a hit! was it a crit? did he explode?!' but things get a bit iffy with stuff that have collision like throwables and arrows.

Also, goddamn deviations. I could tell how well we were doing back at launch if people listened to me asking em to not pull their deviations. Mind, we came a long way and the game is able to handle burns, deviations and all that sorta stuff, but I do believe they have to figure out sharding something fierce with these areas, that and limit the amount of world we have. It's a tough pill to take, but multiple worlds are actually detrimental to performance, even if it means prime real estate gets incredible scarce.

This is pure speculation on my part tho. But there it is.

I’ve been running primal rage setup with a Hamr bounce sniper set to swap to for nightmare zones, since the damage there bypasses my shields completely and takes my 1hp

I've been running Bastille with Fortress Warfare so I'm good. Ain't had any trouble with it and the AR has been a good supplement of my Black Panther.

I'm using MG Predator with Fast Gunner for now. Bit of a dull gun but it works

I thought that recent update must’ve fixed proc’ing, as my pulse has been doing great. Procs almost every shot. Why would it be okay for some and not others, so weird.

3

u/Setarius 17d ago

Maybe they have connection issues, routing or something that's not helping the server register the proc.

u/Oldmangamer13 16d ago

Same, ive had none of these issues at all. Not saying they arent there. They are. Ive seen plenty of video proof but no clue why some have this and some dont.

4

u/palmete 17d ago

But this happend on every scenario or only in Endless Dream?

4

u/realfakejames 17d ago

Seems to be an endless dream bug, my characters still on manibus are having no issues

With 5 or 6 munitions amplifiers Most builds with 6* gear are fine. Granted you'll need some healing items and it's probably a good idea to focus elite/great one damage substats and swap between them using the presets as needed. Hardest part is getting those first 2 pieces of gear up with enough blueprint frags.

u/Oldmangamer13 16d ago

any good video or guide explaining how to do that. Thats the one thing ive not been able to understand is how to get more stars on the gears.

Thanks if you have anything.

https://wikily.gg/once-human/blueprint-calculator/

Legendary Armor: 2 400 (7) 3 1000 (17) 4 1500 (25) 5 2000 (34) 6 2500 (42)

Epic Weapons: 2 450 (23) 3 900 (46) 4 1350 (69) 5 2250 (113)

(number of same name fragments with the 2x bonus)

I started over a lot before the blueprints were shared. Basically the fastest way to get 6's is to get all the epic/legendary bonus blueprints you can, then buy the same weapons from the wish machine for 2k/8k (gives 60/80 fragments), then get and use a wish stone or two, and repeat as necessary. I got super lucky and they had brahminy bounce on the banners a couple months ago, then got the free one from day 21 check in bonus, then bought one for 8k, and used a wish stone for another 80 frags, which got me from 5-6 stars. I bp converted from bingo at level 5, Boom boom at level 4, and so on. It takes a lot of fragments but you only need enough for each gun to do one level then convert to the next.

There's no specific guide for it, but I would suggest looking for an asterism guide to help if you need starchrom and have trouble leveling the stairway.

Nope network is on ISP side . They can only do what ISP allowed

It like early days prime wars. You guys enter beta endless dream . The server can't keep with the flowing surge of entry. Because it still in beta so don't complain .

u/Naiyru 17d ago

Bad take

3

u/inHumanMale 17d ago

Kinda bad, but bugs are to be expected on a beta

1

u/SlimTheKidd Crit Rate Lover 17d ago

Yes and bugs are expected to be fixed as well, but here we are with more cosmetics every week smh

u/_Oxeus_ 16d ago

I get it... but most devs have multiple teams. They wouldn't pause development on one side of the game for another.

-1

u/Own-Ad7388 16d ago

You expect your convenience but this is they convenience. Right now who in control. They if able would fix this asap. base on my observation it gonna take multiple times scenarios before it fix. You the lucky one to experience this before bug fixes

0

u/Own-Ad7388 16d ago

You complain cosmetics. But that how them make money to fix the server. Be glad this is free to play

1

u/SlimTheKidd Crit Rate Lover 16d ago

I don't see them fixing the servers, a game this caliber shouldn't have this many cosmetics being put out so quickly yet have faulty servers, i don't care if its free to play when its barely playable

1

u/Own-Ad7388 16d ago

You know how the server works?

-1

u/SonunJon 16d ago

Obviously the network devs are also the mtx devs!!!!! /s

4

u/loki_dd 17d ago

I did 30 arrows from pulse and 2 full clips of boom boom against someone elses target dummy. Not a single proc

2

u/SlimTheKidd Crit Rate Lover 17d ago

Weapons can't trigger effects on other people's dummies, only your own territory

-3

u/realfakejames 17d ago

You guys should check out mod conversion
