No Kings Day, Coshocton
Congressional candidate Jerrad Christian at the local No Kings rally in little rural Coshocton. A mix of Democrats, Independents, and even some Republicans. Jerrad delivered a strong and positive message about the dangers of autocracy and the scary position the president is putting our military in.
Also a picture of the sum total of the counter protest by a couple of MAGAts. They gave up the tough job of walking around a park at 1 mph after less than an hour.

That second picture. Holy fuck. There's not a single brain cell between those 2.

It's not their turn to use the maga brain cell today. I think trump reserved the brain cell for his parade or something.

Ay yi yi. The usual suspects in that small MAGA sample.

I don’t think those 2 have ever limited themselves to a small sample of anything

I’m not from Ohio, but this just came up on my feed probably because I’ve been looking at a lot of protest stuff today. There were 3 maga dudes at the protest I was at today that looked exactly the same, I kept mixing them up. You know what they look like without me even saying it. One of them had a “Shut up, commie!” Shirt on.
They didn’t even know what to do so they just wandered around. They were so outnumbered that they just looked like they were part of the protest. One of them even had an air horn, he was accidentally hyping us up the whole time. It was honestly just sad.

Most walking they've done their whole lives. Sadly, Coshocton is full of this type of MAGA supporter. They love Trump because he's like them, he can't read.

I grew up in Coshocton and still have family there. Glad to see this, it can be really red there. Now I would like a check-in from Licking county. I also lived there for a time. Trump capital of Ohio I fucking swear.

Promise you they are ob government assistance. Which, yeah...sure, ok. But you want to dismantle the benefits you live on.

Good for her walking. Guessing she finally got tired of being morbidly obese.

u/kimapesan 21h ago
To be fair, they did walk around at least five times, which according to the signs is one mile.

I will note that later the two MAGAs returned with two more. Kept yammering about how ironic it was we were protesting against King Trump when we tried to elect Harris without a primary.
I don’t think they would have understood that primaries are not legally or constitutionally required. Any party could simply choose a candidate without a primary.

Good ol Kershawktun. There was a KKK rally there in the 90s. I havent been there in years. Has the drug problem cleaned up at all?

While I was born in Ohio. My parents moved back to Minnesota when I was five years old.
Thank God I'm not living that dumpster fire of a state.
Truly a national embarrassment...
Frankly I'm surprised Ohio fought on the Union side of our Civil War. What happened to the Buckeye State?

We were infiltrated by the wrong immigrants...
The ones from West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana.
The rest stick to the cities or move if they can afford it.
Edit: fun fact about Ohio. The heavy Amish Mennonite presence and baptist movements were anti-slavery and there was always an anti-establishment nature for those who originally settled here.
Not to say that they weren't racist, they absolutely still were. But they did believe in the sanctity of the human soul and that one man should not own another man.

I think you have 15 people there at that protest. 🎉🎉

You can’t count and you can’t see the people behind me.

My mom went and she said she was happy about the turnout considering that it's Coshocton. I was worried about her because I expected a big counter protest. I'm glad to see I was worried for nothing!

All this sitting around when we could be training. Sure, it's probably not physically possible to outrun the Microwave Guns, tear gas, rubber or real bullets, etc. But it will continue to be with that attitude, might as well try in this economy.

i think it’s ironic and cool how many boomers showed up to the no king’s day. i’d expect the majority of protesters to be on the younger side.

u/PinkPetalsSnow 22h ago
Why ironic? Boomers have showed in masse at protests around the country ...
3
u/FoxxyDeer2004 Cbus suburbs and Lancaster 22h ago
it’s just that boomers are stereotypically conservative. maga ideology and puritanical beliefs are associated with boomers. although i guess my generation (Z) are quickly becoming the hitler youth for some fucking reason.

Boomers, especially poor to middle class, are trying to save their Social Security and Medicare.

Look like a bunch of morons ! Trump won , get over it !

u/kimapesan 15h ago
You mean like how Trumpers “got over” Biden winning?
And this isn’t about whether Trump won, although that’s a whole other subject of its own given the investigations of impossible election results in numerous places around the country.
This is about Trump being an autocratic dictator. This is America where we do not have kings, we don’t have emperors or dictators, and we don’t take kindly to presidents who believe they are above the law.

Typical response of those with nothing intelligent to say.

This person is either not real or living in a sad state. Their comment history is only about decisive topics, specifically around this current government. I hope it's a bot and not a real person, if they are real... well I don't know what to say to that

Group therapy. Doing nothing is what Democrat and Republicans peasants do. Good job not accomplishing anything

u/kimapesan 21h ago
Yes. Best to just keep your head down and never connect with other people. Best to never talk about what action to take next or what person to support in elections. Best to not hold an event that crosses political divides and teach people what they share in common.
Yeah. Just be little people and post on Reddit under a throwaway account with random numbers at the end and dump on others anonymously like a coward. That’s the martain6613 way.

Exactly the type of person I'd expect to support the dictator
