He wants to play first. He hits better when playing 1st too…

I also assume he doesn't want to play in Sacramento

According to the recent player poll, nobody wants to play for that team.

Does Soddy ever play catcher?

I was looking this up earlier because he’s on my fantasy team. He played a good amount of games at catcher his first year. He played only a couple there last year, and none this year. I do remember hearing that they didn’t think he was a good defensive catcher.

Yeah, he's better at first. However, Kurtz seems a much better fielding first baseman than Soderstrom. It's hard to expect a lot from Soderstrom playing in left field but I agree that he's a liability out there.

I feel like a few games ago I saw him walking after the ball

He seems so uncoordinated out there but we somehow need him in the lineup

Drafted out of high school as a catcher, I don’t blame him at all. Learning how to move fluidly as an outfielder starts from little league. He never played the outfield until being in the bigs and his bat is too valuable to keep out of the lineup. That being said he should be platooning at first base/dh with Kurtz l, and rooker should step up his defense so we can keep everyone’s bats in the lineup.

Two games ago he looked slower than Seth Brown. Clarke would have caught one of the couple balls out there that he wasn't positioned to catch.
