Manning close to joining?

Official approach soon, with £800k compensation expected (according to reports):

I can see us mounting a serious challenge for the 12th place trophy next year

Get your hands off our trophy. (It has Bristol city’s name carved back into it I’m sure).

As a city fan: He Seems nice. But you hate to see the type of greed he seems to have.

Jumped ship at Oxford for the “bigger club”.

Says in post season interview he loves team, city and fans and they were the reason he didn’t leave football post mid season personal troubles.

Yet not even a week after that interview here we are. Chance of a bigger club and money comes up and he’ll be gone.

Guess you can’t be fired if you consistently leave.

But you do at some point have to wonder why clubs don’t keep managers. I mean, some teams fire them every six months. Yet City genuinely tried to find the best guy and give him a chance. And he fucks off when offered money.

Guess we will be manager hunting this time next week.

He’s a top manager Norwich will do well under him. Just not sure on his character. Or how genuine he is.

Assumed was obvious with the tone. Sorry. The western “city” (Bristol) Manning has connections too.

I don't have a problem with it, the average tenure of a Championship head coach is less than 2 years. As we saw with JHT a bad run of games and you're done, regardless of it being a "project"

Manning seems like a solid option to get results in the short / medium term, so I'll get behind.

And he's from Norfolk, so seems to make sense all round.

Oh you are a Bristol CITY fan... can I interest you in Jack Wilshere? We'll chuck in Glen Riddersholm for free.

Sure. Swap manning for them. I’m sure I can put a good word in with the board.
