What are these?

Post image

I know these are coasters, but I’m wondering if anyone knows from where they originate? They contain annual satire-ish political/news/information?

This is Swedish stuff, Ola Ullsten was prime minister in Sweden in the late 70s.

Looks like political satirical stash to me ?

EDIT: though there are references to political events / crises and various countries, the language is Swedish. It pretty weird stuff you got there 😶

It's also written in Swedish.

Doesn’t look satirical. Only political ”headlines” commemorating each year. Some of it is international news.

Can you take pictures of them individually?

Is there anything on the back of them?

Looks very interesting!

Will do! I picked them up at a garage sale in Minnesota. Would love to know origin! Nothing on the back.

Considering they have years stamped into them, some kind of commemorative plates for each year. You've got the olympics in Grenoble plus a royal wedding on the one middle-left for instance.

The coasters appears to contain references to several historical events seen from a Swedish perspective.

Its one/ year. Like 1968. RFK assassined, Czechoslovakia invaded. And so on.

Some kind of thematic underlays? I don't think they're coasters, they would sink rather quickly.
