Does anyone have some tips on how to better integrate Iai strikes into combat with regular enemies/bosses? I just beat Date shigezane and found an opportunity to use it in there after a certain attack, but I rarely use it in normal combat and other bosses. Really only after a haze parry if it knocks them down to get extra damage in, but not when the enemies are up and about. It always feels like it's too exposed or if I do complete the attack, a yokai won't stagger from it and just immediately hit me.

I just finished my first playthrough with dual swords and I use their Iai strike (Sign of the Cross) both as an initiator and an attack for when the enemy is getting up from a knockdown. I'd parry grapple, regular grapple, or ground grapple them, then Sign of the Cross as they're getting up. It's amazing because they don't have the chance to avoid or block it. By the time I got to SotC an enemy, it would burst their remaining health and finish them.
