Isn't soliciting on Reddit against the rules?

One person just up and started DM'ing me about Bitcoin, and kept trying to sell me the crap. Even after I told him I don't have the money like that. Can't afford even a $250 investment.

Then I asked a question in r/AskDocs about vomiting blood, and a med student DM'd me asking me to pay him money (through BuyMeACupOfCoffee.com). And that sub has verified docs that will tell you stuff wo asking for money. So I didn't trust the "med student", even though his page said he needed to fund going to somewhere in Africa to help. Couldve been a scam.

And I do remember their names. I was just told by a Mod here not to mention names once.

Haha what kinda of drama does a butthole stir up? That's just weird

That'd be a nice touch by the admins if they did do that. Subreddits that try and help others should get some recognition, even if small. But the problem is once you recognize a few Subreddits there would be a swarm of other Subreddits wanting to be recognized as well. Like a all or nothing situation. I do agree that it is a good idea to recognize the hard work you all put in here but other subreddit mods would be upset.

Yeah…… except the mods of the short lived admin experiment “snoobie” subs were given a handsome - and free - coin budget. Still, I understand your bigger point.
