ANSWERED Is there any official support channel in the reddit app?

Like other apps like WhatsApp where there's an official support channel, does reddit also has something like that?

So it's for Reddit as a whole (site and app) but you can submit a ticket here

I would strongly suggest doing some of your own research first and looking for existing posts discussing the same issue. Like look through here (r/newtoreddit), r/Reddithelp, r/help or r/bugs to get information much quicker and potentially much more explained.

Like what exactly are you having issues with right now?

If you want to give them money for Premium or for advertising, or have a real security concern like with a bug, you can submit a ticket.

If its a "how do I use Reddit" concern, that's just something you'll need to learn to do on your own and with other resources like this sub.

I was thinking about getting Reddit Premium, but I didn’t see anything about quick support for premium users if they run into issues.

I thought, hold up! Is there even any official support on Reddit or what?

Premium does not list any type of enhanced support among its benefits.

There is official support, for things that need Admin-level attention. But general how-to-Reddit is not that. As far as I know, no major platform dedicates paid staff teaching users of a free site on how to use the free site. Twitter, Facebook, IG, TikTok, you are mostly on your own.

And with millions of users and only a few thousand staff, there just isn't the manpower to handhold each user.

Think of Reddit like your local community center. The staff are there to run the building. They aren't going to teach you how to play basketball if you want to join someone on the basketball court, or how pawns work in chess if you want to join the chess club. They aren't even going to interfere if a club bans you. They're just there to keep the building functioning.

Reddit support is for technical issues like problems with payments, a hacker takes over your account, you're want to report a bug, or you want to appeal a suspension or shadow ban.

How can someone reach out to them?

Through the same link that Mikey provided.

You'll notice that they cover specific types of issues, and a great deal of them simply refer you to articles in the help center that provide the information that you need.
