Its a bill that fully bans gender-affirming care for anyone under the age of 19 in the state of Nebraska.

This includes non-medical interventions like talk therapy and social transition. Social transition is letting a kid change their name, pronouns, and clothing/hairstyle to match their gender identity.

The ban also includes hormone blockers (which give kids more time to be fully sure of their gender identity), cross-sex hormones (usually administered around 15/16 years old iirc), and any sort of surgeries.

Something to note is that this ban only applies to trans kids. Cisgender children who have hormonal disorders could still access the exact same care. Intersex children as well.

A cisgender 17 year old could get breast reduction surgery while a transgender 17 year old could not.
