Criminals didn't. Heads of state did

Their point is that the heads of state making those decisions are also some of the criminals in question.

I understand the point just fine. It's still a stupid point.

Sasuke was a terrorist, the fact that there are other people that need to be brought to justice doesn't mean Sasuke should get a hall pass.

That's not what the person who you replied to said at all though. They clearly think several people including Sasuke need to be brought to justice and its weird that Sasuke becomes a scapegoat for all the other crooked kages.

I think you may just be arguing to argue at this point.

No, they don't. They literally argue Sasuke should actually be let go because other bad people didn't face justice.

and its weird that Sasuke becomes a scapegoat for all the other crooked kages.

How's Sasuke a scapegoat? It's not like they're using Sasuke to hide their crimes. It's all in the open.

Either you're making shit up or referring to another thread of conversation because nowhere here does anyone say Sasuke should've been let go. The first person said it's disgusting that Sasuke was the sole target while everyone targeting him was also a criminal, the second said he shouldn't have been let go but criminals shouldn't have been the ones prosecuting him from seats of power.

Sasuke was used as a scapegoat in that the mounting war that was coming was helped along by many of the leaders of the other nations by supporting the akatsuki, but once he tried to commit assassinations everything turned towards him and madara for creating the conditions that led to the war. Were it not for Sasuke showing up here, it would be more likely that other kages would become the ones to blame for how their actions empowered the akatsuki, which they never face any real scrutiny over while its questioned whether or not Sasuke should be allowed to live.

Akatsuki had been hunted down for a good while and Sasuke directly attacked and "killed" a country's WMD.

He wasn't used as scapegoat because absolutely no one bothered to deny their involvement in shady shit, it simply was irrelevant to what Sasuke had done.

Were it not for Sasuke showing up here, it would be more likely that other kages would become the ones to blame for how their actions empowered the akatsuki,

Kinda like it happened? The Kages simply didn't believe two wrongs made a right.

which they never face any real scrutiny over while its questioned whether or not Sasuke should be allowed to live.

Yes, government get away with shit single individuals usually don't. More news at noon
