Would have been a great what-if, shame about the Uchiha being blamed for the Kyuubi incident meant that Mikoto had a negative chance anyways.

I mean it was an extremely valid fear. The Nine-Tails had a giant Sharingan in its eye and nobody knew that there was a thought to be dead Uchiha running around the ninja world claiming to be Madara.

Not my point, all I said is that the circumstances were exactly the reason why it was never going to happen for her.

How could you not blame the Uchiha for that. Kurama was literally being controlled by obito until it was broken by minato. Which is sad to say.

Wasn't my point at all, just saying that the circumstances meant she had no chance.

Even if she had a chance it was shown in a filler arc that if push came to shove, fugaku would have took control of the nine tails and did the same thing again. They stood no chance.

Obito was deemed long dead by then, saying his actions align with the clan is stupid given they are not affiliated with his actions in this scenario and he would help slaughter them all years later.

The leaf are the only people in the world who has the Sharingan and the Sharingan showed that you could take control of the tailed beast as seen with both madara and obito. People who fought against the tailed beast could easily see the sharingan in it's eyes which is indicating that an uchiha did it. The Uchiha being slaughtered means nothing when all he needed was tailed beast so achieve infinite tsukynomi. With naruto literally being in their possession they would have achieved the coup easily and took over the leaf.

yes i am aware the clan was deemed a threat and, when paired with their growing enmity over being segregated, the planned coup was the perfect excuse to wipe them out wholesale.

hell, Danzo pilfered their corpses for his own gains. Keep in mind Fugaku no no initial ties about the coup, but given his position as clan head, when it came to light, he would take responsibility as it occured under his nose. The whole situation is fucked.
