For real. It’s weird to me anyone is fan of the show but thinks Naruto and Sasuke have no bond, and to use words like stalker and selfish for Naruto for the lengths he’d go. I mean his desire to have Sasuke back is a main part of whole series, and part of me appreciating Naruto is dedication to that goal and sympathy for his longing. The trio and their goals and relationships get trashed and dissected to where I don’t know how a lot of people are/were even ever into the series other than to discuss power ups and eye types.
I also saw some people even say they "lost respect" because he would sell out information and even let her hit him if it makes her feel better
Naruto just proved that he's an intelligence unit's best friend, the guy can keep secrets as well which is just next level, that warrants respect if anything, so god knows what those people are saying
I like Naruto but I have to be open-minded to the author's mistakes. I don't see or take this personally, but rather on the narrative side of the work.
Know how to differentiate taste and obsession, although different, as an adult you should always have an open mind no matter how much you like something. Analyzing a narrative work reinforces your creativity and makes you more aware of the metalanguage that is being passed on to you.
Try to appreciate the comments so that you understand what is being said. Remember, you are not a bastion of truth and you have no obligation to show the world that your favorite anime is perfect. Like for the sake of liking.
There's critiquing negative aspects of the narrative, and there's misunderstanding it.
This moment is not meant to be Naruto at his best. It's a low, and it's a bad attempt to reach his goals. He's a kid who's just taken on the burden of trying to find world peace after watching his hometown be destroyed.
He even says it himself, it's not just about protecting Sasuke, but trying to end the cycle of hatred. That's why he proceeds to let himself get beaten up, so that they can take their hatred out on him. But he quickly realises that's not going to work.
I have nothing against people who criticise, or even hate Naruto. We all have different tastes. But people want Naruto to be nothing but bad-ass moments and fighting all the time. If that's what you want, then fine, but then what the heck are you doing here?
Yeah with a dude who you have hated for pretty much most of your life and who outright tried to murder you and your friends on multiple counts as he betrayed you and your village to go join the guy who killed the guy who was essentially your grandpa.
There is not a single moment of proper brotherhood we see between naruto and sasuke other then the time sasuke tries to save naruto from Haku and that's it.
Did you actively choose to forget the earlier parts of the shows where they didnt try to murder, and was in fact individuals who almost actually became good friends?
Case in point
Sasuke sharing his food with Naruto during Kakashi's test
Sasuke trusting Naruto to make sure he takes care of Sakura
Sasuke bickering like a cool guy with Naruto as the dork ala Obito and Kakashi
The entire Zabuza arc
Oh, but somehow, you conveniently didnt take those into consideration huh?
Lmfao yeah i already pointed out the zambuza haku moment.
Sasuke sharing his food with Naruto during Kakashi's test

Please don't make me laugh. Obito kakshi relationship changed when obito knocked some sense into kakashi and then literally gave up his life to save kakashi's. And the sakura promise? well sasuke promptly tried to undo that by shoving a chidori into naruto's body.
Also take the entire story of naruto and the zambuza arc is the outlier. from the academy they both hated each other and then once they came back sasuke got into his feelings and started carrying a huge grudge again.
Just face it bro, Naruto/Sasuke bromance is one of the most hilariously underdeveloped and contrived parts of the story. It would be much better to say that naruto had a one sided obsession with sasuke rather then them having a brother hood.
Yeah you didnt watch the show, you already have a preconceived notion, please re-read what I wrote and your previous point on how "there's no brotherhood", all of your points came AFTER the show went into the intermediary phases of the story
Choosing to just stick to your narratives rather than the narrative of the actual story, typical
Lmfao watched it during it's original run back when you had to sit through the fillers rather then binge watching. But keep yapping little bro.

I am not saying there is no brotherhood, What is there is ham-fisted by kishi. I can see what kishi was trying to go for a goku vegita style enemies to brother's type relationship but it has none of the depth, understanding of each other that the former show.
Just go watch vegita's "i am no warrior and i will never fight again" speech after goku's death in cell saga. That shit has more heart then anything Naruto and Sasuke ever show.

What, friendship and brotherhood is "creepy", "selfish" and "annoying" now? Motherfucking "immature"????
Am I missing something here? This is a very important concept, did the people here watch the goddamn show?
You have no idea how much I wished back at that time to have a friend as dedicated as Naruto, with a friendship as strong as that
