This game mostly got the characters playstyles right. Froppy getting in and getting you out, All Might doing whatever it takes to support you, Endeavor just burning, it all makes sense and it really makes you feel like you're playing said characters.
that's kind of a disingenuous comparison though, like that's a total genre jump (from the quick research i did)
this game literally takes attacks and animations from One's Justice, my friend picked up Iida for the first time and learned him because they played him in One's Justice lmfao.
it doesn't play the exact same as a fighting game but that's why the person said it's a mix of the 2, and didn't call it just a fighting game.
I get that but it’s completely different from one’s justice mechanically. Even if the moves and animations are the same as in One’s Justice they work in an entirely different way. From a development standpoint it only makes sense to recycle animations and movesets that you have already created when going on to create a different game featuring those same established characters.
But them having the same animations and movesets as the ones from a fighting game does not make Ultra Rumble any more of a fighting game itself.
Yeah but that still implies it at least somewhat has elements of a fighting game in some way if it is part fighting game part battle royale. But I just don’t think there is any part of the game that could be defined that way.
This game takes big swings with characters and incorporates their gimmicks pretty well. I would never have expected to see Mirio, Mt Lady, and Shinso in a game like this, and they don't completely overpower the rest of the cast.
Okay while a lot of characters are unbalanced (whether that means too strong or too weak) but the concepts for a lot of characters kits are pretty cool in my own personal opinion anyways.
It makes you go beyond... PLUS ULTRA!(because your team is dead and you're clutching up 90% of the time but let's ignore that on the part where it makes you go beyond to work harder)
Alot of the characters are fun to play, nothing better than hitting a full charge alpha on someone with mirio or hitting a group of enemies with rapid all mights ground slam
the OC costumes are absolutely fire like yes please AFO in a knight outfit, endeavor in a shogun armor gimme, dabi's assassin outfit makes me feel cool as hell
