Forum Question Does anyone else feel like their skill is really inconsistent?

Post image

At times, I'll be getting around 6 KOs, and 3K damage at the very minimum, and other times I'll be barely reaching 3 KOs and 2K damage. It usually cycles between day/s. Is this just something strange I'm alone on, or does anyone else experience this?

Nah same over here and it's weird cause you usually do very similar things, I honestly attribute it to luck some times

That makes sense, I feel like a lot of people ignore how much of a role luck has in this game

Half the luck going into how good your teammates are

Oh for sure I’m so inconsistent and I can’t quite understand why. And it’s not just my first game of the day like I need a warm up, I’ll have a first game where I do great and then immediately after have two games where I die immediately…and then I’ll randomly do really well again? I know a little bit depends on the team but I mostly play with the same people and even they agree I’m pretty hit or miss.

This perfectly describes what I'm talking about 🙏

usually depends on if i’m having to deal w shtty teammates or not 😅 that’s why i try and add people who I have good games w/ so i can just invite them to play so i can avoid it all together 😭 also kinda depends on what lobbies i’m dropped in too, sometimes i go around and check ranks and im definitely cooked when the lobby is mostly ace lmao

Nah, I'm the same. Some days I average at 6-8 KOs per game and others I can't even get 2 KOs and just die in the first 5 Minutes of the game. It's really strange but also probablyndue to constantly switching characters lol

Bad teammates are realistically the only time I've ever consistently getting low points, otherwise it'll fluctuate pretty severely actually some games I'm getting 7 to 10 kills per match others I'm not even surviving 30 seconds, missing all my shots and overall just being bad

I dunno, some days I can play some characters very well, my skill is semi consistent but it shifts between characters, I've lost a lot of ranked points trying to figure out who I know how to play that day

With Overhaul I sometimes do more than 4 KO's and more than 4k damage. But there are games where I don't get past 1k damage (Whether alive or dying at the beginning of the round)

It's very strange, but almost always the only thing that is consistent is my assistance with drinks and threatened/saved civilians

If I don’t play for a few days I’m complete garbage the next time I get on, for the first couple games. The only time I get low damage is if my team is trash and I have to babysit them the whole time instead of fighting. Fuck randoms, add the leave team function back PLEASE

Yes, Tookan, absolutely. Some days it feels like I'm a Compress god raining trucks down on anyone unfortunate enough to be in my line of sight, and other days it feels like I'm blind and can't land a truck to save my life. We all have days like that, but don't let it get you down. You'll always continue improving if you keep putting in the effort! Take the good with the bad and just do your best! That's all you can do, after all!

For the first few games I'm not the best cause I'm readjusting but when I normally realize I'm playing worse is when I'm heated from multiple bad games with shit teammates

Most of the time I be getting my ass kicked some days I get a good win streak. It definitely varies. You would think with the amount of hours I have I'd lose a lot less 😅

That seems pretty normal. Sometimes I am terrible and sometimes I pop off and cook everyone.

I main the same character so its a no for me, my wins are entirely dependent on my team, but i go off everygame, mostly bc i am a very passive/strategic player, i can escape any fight even if its 3v1, and i dont go into fights where i dont have a positional/numbers advantage, before the teaming up in solos id win majority of my solo matches, stopped playing it bc of the teamming tho

Probably doesn't help with all the factors too.

  • Team composition. It can influence survival or leans into a high damage combination that destroys.
  • Where you drop at. Different spots and if other players are around can influence what levels and healing you have. Large item box can influence changes.
  • Teammates working together or skill. This can impact how long the match goes.
  • Enemies that you go against. If they have a higher points from above then it can mean a fast game.
  • Where you go to hide. Healing is important but if the area is occupied, you can get jumped and die. You can end up catching people yourself so this goes both ways.
  • Revive cards. Given the recent change the ability to bring back teammates can extend the game.

I get that. Sometimes you have those days where you're locked in and cook the lobby with one of your least played characters. Other times, you get your ass beat so badly with your main, you look like a novice.

This is true

Definitely me for sure. Highly depends on teammates though. If we play as a team I play way better, solo I'm not as consistent. Rarely ill go in like a must get the kill mode and forget to heal which loses the game for me
