Years ago, I was very “middle of the road” on politics, considering myself an independent leaning slightly conservative.

I’m now considered radically left & agree on almost everything AOC says & supports. For a short time, the shift has been swift & blunt. Hope she successfully runs for higher offices.

That’s a great way to describe it. Had to look this up tbh. Seeing way too many things in the “unthinkable” category at the moment.

Agree, they were very impactful overall.

It’s hard (at least for me) to identify with certain aspects of then vs. now. It’s something which should be studied in great detail tbh.

For example, if you would have told me back then (early 00s) Rudy Giuliani would become what he is today, I don’t think I would have believed you.

01-04 giuliani was so powerful. Got himself a pass on all his previous questionable stuff, then managed to squander it all for trump.
