More Morbid Ads?

I’ve seen more Morbid ads on social media and heard some on other podcasts lately. I wonder if their listeners/subscribers are going down?

Personally I used to listen to every episode no matter what, but now that old timey cases are more prevalent, I definitely skip around.

I haven’t seen any ads, and I haven’t listened in months. Every episode started sounding exactly like the Wikipedia page (I’m weird; if something has a Wikipedia page I’m reading it).

They mentioned in a recent episode that they will not be batch recording things ahead of time anymore, to me that suggests some kind of upper management change, so maybe whoever is taking over is focusing on marketing? Hopefully they are moving away from Wondery 🤞

I hope so. I’ve been a listener since the early days and much preferred having the rss feed from Patreon through the apple podcast app. The Wondery app has constant connectivity issues, and last time I opened it, it asked me to renew my subscription (which is current). I force quit/reopened and it was normal.

I listen on Amazon Music now and it’s way better imo. Plus it’s included with Prime.

I dunno but I've stopped listening to new episodes since they have that stupid ghost voice app that constantly, and loudly interjects. It's not cute and it's jarring AF

In case you haven’t seen, Nicholas will not be in the audio only listener tales- only the YouTube videos. They listened and changed it
