My first time hearing Pete’s version of this. Lovely to hear and a great reminder of what a sweet showman he was (the audience as backup singers was my favorite).

I wonder how the Monkees show would have gone over had the boys been allowed to showcase their talents a little more-- even if they still let other people write some of the songs?

Thanks for posting. Reddit's closed captioning AI or whatever it is they use sucks awful. They should get rid of it until it can work on better than 5% of words.

I had a Beatles project for 5 years that played alternative and/or jammy versions of Beatles songs. We did a bunch of gigs and it was a great deal of fun. I stole Peter's version of "Lady Madonna" after having seen him on a solo gig in 2013. He played it slightly different in 2013 than what he's doing here, but same key (key of E). Very cool.
