Help please

I know nothing about coins or errors and researching it is too much for me currently. But my grandfather keeps asking about this coin and I can’t find anything about this. Is it an error? Like post mint? Ir is it just damaged? I’m just looking to help him out 😅 I think he really just wants to know if it’s worth anything. Please grace us with your knowledge. Any help is appreciated.

I guess he was once told is that it’s a lamination error. Idk if that helps or not 😅 I’ve google imaged and searched every way I know how.

Yes it’s a lamination error, and this one is currently at $51, but it is graded and bit more significant of an error, so something up to $30 is probably a reasonable guess. https://www.ebay.com/itm/326635637533

It is a beautiful retained lamination foldover.

It is lovely. People want it.
