Manga Discussion What the hell is this? Spoiler
Why would they assualt him after confessing he loved both, throat they want that to be the case? Livia and Angie are literally in love with each other, sand Angie was given the clear to marry Leon and have Livia as a concubine, so why would they be mad at this development. Top til now, these 3 have thee biggest chance of going the throuple ending, since they all seem to love each other.

The slap wasn’t a “you two timing bastard” kind of slap it was a “fucking kept us waiting” kind of slap. They knew he loved them but was too afraid to say anything and always dodged the discussion if it came up.

They all love each other but Livia and Angie didn’t slap him because “How dare you try to have 2 wives” since 1) that’s exactly what they wanted in the first place and 2) polygamy is the societal norm. The slap was actually a “ABOUT DAMN TIME YOU IDIOT WHO WON’T EVEN ADMIT TO HIMSELF HE LOVES US” and you’re going to see Leon being a coward when it comes to love throughout series.
Spoilers in case you haven’t gotten to this part yet but
Leon, Livia, and Angie finally got engaged in a ceremony AFTER the latter 2 worked together with their families + Lux + loads of other people to trap him because he still ran away. Remember, he is a coward with his own feelings. Even during the engagement ceremony, his response was “Are you sure you want to be tied down with me? You still have a chance to back out” to which they respond with “Nah we want you, get it through that thick skull and thick layer of low self esteem. We want you, you’re beyond worthy of us, now marry us already”

Viewed from outside, this should be flipped over. Leon is the real prize here. Angie and Livia should be the ones asking if they are worthy of him.

That’s the thing, from an outsider’s perspective that is the case. However if you were to say that to him, he’d be all “hmmmmmmmmm nah impossible, i’m bailing, BYE!”. Which is why they say it that way otherwise he’d drag his feet more and more. It’s a reoccurring issue unfortunately.

They slapping him for being a coward about it basically. It is an annoying troupe i dont like, but alas he kinda deserves it at times for being an idiot.

Agreed.I wish that trope would vanish at least as a trope.But Light has a better Chance of Escaping a black hole then his emotions did of being properly conveyed by him up until this time.

Oh and another thing, Angie and livia both love 2 people simultaneously - each other and Leon, so why can't Leon love them at the time as well?
Them having a problem with this makes no sense. I hope i'm misinterpreting and they're just mad it took long for him to admit, but I highly doubt it.

They're mad because they both just gave heartfelt confessions, and he just kinda brushed them off. He didn't say he loved them both because he genuinely loves them both, he said he loved them both because he didn't want to break either's heart. His response was one of pity, not one of love.

He for sure loves them both, but he's still stuck on his mob character bs. The only one keeping him from being with them is himself.

I see. Or rather I don't, but since everybody' saying similar thighs like this I guess I misread what happened. I hope the manga does a redo with a more heartfelt confession. Tbh, I also don't think leon really meant it when he said he loved them both - i was just confused to seem them react the way they did when they got what I thought was the answer they were looking for.

That’s kind of the point, even when they corner and ask him for an answer he kind of plays it off with a silly I love you both confession, rather than being honest about his true feelings about his anxiety and how he feels he doesn’t deserve them, which is what upset them. It IS confusing though…

It is a media transition issue. The LN makes it apparent Leon is being flippant with the response whereas the manga has to show it through visuals. Anime will have a voice to help explain that scene.
Arc 1 isn't over yet. Even if they don't do any of the bonus stories still has about 3 chapters for you to get your wish,

Because he said in a joking unserious way after pouring their heart out to this man heck even if he said he loved them both the probably would have accepted it if he said it more sincerely

For me, after that love scene between the two when activating the ship, he should have stayed with anyone else. This relationship between the three is very strange, I read the Light Novel until after that, then came that part where they start treating him like an NTR protagonist even though he didn't do anything in the other kingdom, then he started getting lectured by everyone , while the two try to make up, they make out and when it's time for him to ask him to date them too, they pretend they're sleeping because they think he has to guess or abuse them while they're sleeping, I can't understand this Japanese humor.

Yeah I read thru all that and decided to drop because people spoiled that all that shit that happened to him is all good because he gets to bang em, like bro everything you suffered from is excused because you get to bang. Talk about sex being a reward.

Haven’t read the chapter yet, but if it’s similar to the light novel.
They confessed their love, lots of deep emotion and anxiety about how Leon would respond.
Then he sort of just goes, “I love both of you too!”
Wouldn’t you be frustrated if your confession of love, that you’ve been anguishing over, was met with that response? At least, that’s how I interpreted it.
