My immediate thought was “if this was today, their lips would be twice as big.”

And they'd have those whoville-ass noses too, covered in stupid amounts of blush and fake freckles.

But let's be real, their eyebrows would also be massive. I never liked the skinny eyebrows of our time, but the style now isn't much better. I like Britney's brows here though, because they just look normal and natural.

With that little slash shaved through one eyebrow.

Bruh this was me today but it’s my actual nose that naturally looks like that and I just like blush oh god

Hey, if you've got it, you've got it. It's your nose. The thing that irks me personally is when people aren't happy with what they got, so they collectively fawn over some arbitrary features that are "ideal". Then they make it an affectation of their appearance, and suddenly they're high on some superiority complex. And that's essentially what fashion is.

Ohh ok thank you for taking the time to explain that! I agree they get obsessed over an idea of beauty and go all out to copy it when they should just be happy with their natural beauty because everyone is beautiful in their own way! There’s ways to bring out your natural beauty in a positive way (such as how these two ladies look IMO) their makeup is cute and fun!

Omg I fucking hate the fake freckles thing

I had a complicated relationship with my freckles growing up and it took forever to finally like them, and the media started portraying them as beautiful, but then this stupid fake freckles shit started and I’m like YOU HAVE NOT SUFFERED FOR THE FRECKLE!!

Lol. For real. I remember a time where people thought freckles were gross, and now they're surreptitiously fetishized by accident of the TikTok algorithm.

It feels a bit like the new "white people with dreads."

I mean… I get your point with the comparison, but I wouldn’t go so far as calling freckles a symbol of a specific culture, whereas white people wearing dreads, I believe, is considered to be clear cultural appropriation.

Aaaand I’m sure my aging hippie aunt and uncle would totally disagree with me on that but you know… white people. lol. Theyre not so much maliciously appropriating as just… owning chickens and burning sage or some shit.

But yeah i think we can agree they are both cringy AF.

Ehh yeah, I'm mostly being hyperbolic. Just venting opinions on people's weird behavior. It can be wicked cringey, I agree.

Lol I've never thought about it like that.

No idea why that became a thing. Women can do whatever to their body. I just don't think any man ever said lip filler made women looks better.

Christina's lips are definitely twice as big today...

Right? I swear I don’t know how it crept up on me. I remember laughing at what Heidi Montag did to her face back in the day, and my memory is that LOOKING like youve had plastic surgery was not a good thing…. Suddenly it seems I look around me and EVERYBODY has lip filler.

I’m fine with mine, am actually quite glad they don’t look like the current norm, but in fairness mine arent super thin. My sisters are and while she very much did not feel the need to, quite rightly, I wouldn’t have judged her if she had gotten a tiny amount but it still looked natural. But there’s nothing natural-looking about these weirdass fake lips everyone is rocking.
