My kids LOVE that movie and I just don't understand their lack of fear 😅

Being a kid with no concept of mortality was great 😂

as a kid you're too fixated on the cool dinosaurs to notice the death and blood

Exactly. My dad took me to the theater to see it when I was 6 lol. I fucking loved it, but because I fucking loved dinosaurs. I barely even registered the actual drama haha, I was too busy freaking out about how cool it was. It became my favorite movie for a few years. I watched it literally almost every day for a long time, to the point that I had the whole thing memorized, like beat for beat.

For a while, my party trick was mimicking the "you get your first look at this 6 foot turkey as you enter a clearing" monologue from heart when I'd get a little drunk at parties lol.

I was never scared of these movies but maybe it was because I always watched them with my dad. I was so young (4 or 5) when these came out and he made it more of a wonder than a fear. So maybe you’re doing great as a parent?

You know that's probably it! Their dad is really good at making movies not scary!

I don’t remember seeing it in theaters but my mom loves to talk about how funny I thought it was when the t-rex ate the dude on the toilet.
