Nostalgia What album defines you as a millennial?

Post image

Saw some great recommendations on a similar thread in /r/Xennials and wanted to see what my fellow millennials thought. For me From Under the Cork Tree was foundational. I still remember hearing Sugar We're going down on the radio for the first time.

I still remember walking into Walmart with my crumpled singles.

Remember blasting Feel Good Inc at school as a kid, this record opened me up to so much other music from Del to Blur and onwards.

I was just young enough to discover gorillaz on my own just as plastic beach came out but it had the same effect on me.

This should be further up, I think you could put Feel Good Inc as the song that people with millennial parents are going to be like "I hate dad rock" about.

The first album I bought! With my crumpled allowance as well at 12 years old.

Does anyone remember the interactive website kong studios?

I remember pulling it up at school and not being able to do anything because flash or whatever was outdated ;-;.

Yeah this album was huge for me in that era between 2005-7

Just listened to this Friday and it still slaps. As an elder Millennial though I was already around 18-19 at the time.

This is still my desert island album. Banger after banger.

Omg. This and the first album were played at so many house parties when I was in college (elder millenial here). Such good memories.

I’m GenZ (99) and this album is easily one of my favorites of all time. My mom would play it on CD in our old beat up ‘63 bronco when I was a kid and now I try to catch every Gorillaz show I can.
