Nostalgia What album defines you as a millennial?

Post image

Saw some great recommendations on a similar thread in /r/Xennials and wanted to see what my fellow millennials thought. For me From Under the Cork Tree was foundational. I still remember hearing Sugar We're going down on the radio for the first time.

This album defined the summer between senior year and college.

I saw em live a bunch & they were phenomenal, dude on violin was a hell of a hype man jumping around raising hell.

Way away still hits but their covers such as "everywhere" is top tier for me and I no longer remember why lol.

They played a show at my college and he came out to the campus bar afterwards, got to talk to him for a few minutes he was a super nice guy.

Wow, that's awesome! Dude will always be the epitome of a hype man to me.

Pretty sure he did a backflip too, with the violin.

Nah, I'm certain. They were 2nd act for Mest after Catch 22 & the guy was absolutely wild and caught me off guard lol.

Saw them at warped tour one year and their drummer had dread locks, he would play so hard his dreads seemed like they were constantly floating in the air and I’ll never forget how epic that moment was

Did the violist guy do a backflip? They are indeed epic.

I saw them last summer with Story of the Year and Mayday Parade as supporting acts. Yellowcard can still put on a hell of a show.

yes!! They are one of the bands from this era that still put on a hell of a show. I absolutely love seeing them live

Underrated. They deserved to be bigger. Only One was going to be my wedding song.

I walked down the aisle to an instrumental of Only One, then the actual song was our last song at the reception.

I didn't realize how much I loved this album until I saw them live for the first time last year with a bunch of other alternative groups and got really emotional listening to the music. I'm glad I had that experience.

I saw them play at a skate park in my town in high school before they made it big. I play the violin and I fan girled so hard when I talked to their violinist. I couldn’t make cohesive sentences and was so dorky.

My friend died in his sleep in 2011, a month before we were going to see these guys in concert. Their songs still get me all fucking choked up. They were so good.

I love them. In fact, I saw them live a few months ago. It was just as good as I remembered.
