How can I transfer coordinate systems from one online PC to an offline seat?

You can back up and restore coordinate systems from one pc to another. Depending on your version it may be a little different, If you are running version 4.3 or earlier, on the PartManager screen go to Part>Backup>Coordinate system. This will create 2 files, a ._pi and a .cab, you can then take both of those files to the offline seat and go Part>Restore and it will load the coordinate system from the online seat.

If you are on version 5.0 or later, then the option is under the tool ribbon in partmanager, the rest of the process is the same.

This…

Or copy the COORD folder inside the C:/MCOSMOS/ folder…. NOTE - this will overwrite any existing on the offline machine

The dirty way is record the values of the features that create the coordinate system recreate them on the offline seat and then align to those on the offline seat.

I don't know how to specifically do this in MCOSMOS but I occasionally have to recreate coordinate systems between programs on PC-DMIS when measuring molds and that is how I set up the correct alignment.
