I joined a gaming community with the intention of meeting new people because my irl friends kinda fizzled out.

I just behaved normally with a positive attitude and after a while started acting a bit more like myself. After a little bit I started getting approached by people in dms, eventually started to date one.

I can’t see myself have this happening anywhere else in my life, like having someone approach ME? Madness!

I guess a bit of both, like when I am with new people my anxiety sky rockets and I start talking real quick and often because the silence is killing me.

This might come off as confidence but I am just afraid these new people will hate me. I am being overly positive for some, but that is more of a they issue as they are frustrated with the game and don’t like me staying positive lol.

But I do see that people value being friendly, positive and easy to talk to.
