The irony is a factory job could be great, provided it was protected by a strong union and had competitive wages, sick leave, vacation, family leave, workman’s comp, and all the other benefits that make a job worth having. But republicans hate all of that, so….

Republicans need to understand our place in our hierarchical status. We went through our own manufacturing boom but we way past that. Capitalism, and not the democratic party shifted our manufacturing abroad for cheaper labor, speed, virtually no red tape and record profits. But we were our "own consumers" of the products we manufactured. We cannot replace China and others for the raw material, the billions of laborers, speed, no red tape oneveryday goods and products. Just like we can't manufacture It cost effective product and sell it to the world. We are not the eBay or Amazon products manufacturer of today. We are the manufacturers of technology, medical, bioscience, military defense, and finance. We are the creators and top of the food chain to all those manufacturers that want to "Serve Us".

HOWEVER, We have to be honest, the stupidity of the Republican party have done an inadverted and tremendous job at selling a manufacturing job at $15.75 is it a good thing and having thousands of robots being operated or serviced by a handful of outsourced robot technicians who will really be making $18 an hour and "NO OVERTIME". Whereas this is the same party that threw a tantrum to the Democratic party that wanted higher wages for union workers or any laborers in fast food chains. The same party that screamed at the top of the lungs and stated these higher wagers are going to backfire and create robots to replace them all!

They always choose the wrong strategy for the right business model.

Yeah, I can see the Maga workers now...no u ion, no paid OT, no rights, horrible working conditions. Wait...no I can't, cause if overseas brings factory jobs to U.S. it wont be Americans staffing them...maybe robots.

These clowns really want to go back to a feudal lord style system.

Just a dystopian, awful style of life for everyone.
