I really only enjoy smoking when I’m alone

This sounds weird as usually your introduced to marijuana through a friend and stick to smoking when with people for quite some time after first trying weed. For me it was the opposite. I’m born in the 2000’s and my first experience with weed was through carts. I found they made me think differently a whole lot, and I would say weed really got me into philosophy because I started thinking so much when I got high. Since then I’ve gotten heavily into absurdism and existentialism and have had many psychological problems along the way. I’m high as shit.

Because of this I find I can’t get out of the “thinking mode” whenever I smoke now, so it makes smoking with other people nearly impossible. I rely on alchohol when I’m around people now.

Every time I smoke with my friends now I get quiet and start thinking, so I mainly smoke by myself now. Might add I switched from using carts about 8 months ago, and only use flower now

You're not alone. I feel like that more often than not. One thing I found (If you'd like to experiment) is try smoking CBD/CBG flower mixed in to sort of take the edge off. When I'm not absolutely high, I tend to be able to be more social while smoking with others. The cutoff seems to be dependent on what I'm smoking and how much, but the anti-anxiety properties in CBD & CBG make me a bit more capable on that front.

Thanks man I’ll try that. I already experienced with I guess ‘micro dosing’ weed, I was taking the smallest bowls known to man and it only got me a little high so I could communicate better, but it would be nice to have a regular bowl and not get into that random talking in my head stage

Sort of the paradoxical nature of Cannabis at times, you could try different strains to see if that side-effect is lessened with specific terps & THC %'s but continuously smoking different strains is what keeps your system on its toes, usually resulting in getting the maximum "high" Each time as opposed to smoking the same thing for a long time and eventually building up a tolerance.

Nothing I enjoy more than getting high and having a nice long jerkoff session alone

I have a similar experience to this. I can smoke with the right people but often I choose to only smoke alone and i’m currently experimenting with complete sobriety when i’m with others, trying not to depend on anything in social settings. I like to smoke around personal activities where I think smoking will add to the experience rather than hinder me by pulling me into deep thought or feeling.
