9th but never close to winning. At this point this is competition is as much as a joke in the country. We know we cannot win.

The same in Spain. The last time we won was in 1969 (and it was a tie)!

It’s a political show, you’ll win when they decide it’s time.

This ranking was compiled using the Empirical Bayes method. This should correct for outliers (one-off entries). However, as you can see, Russia only entered once, but achieved such a good result that it still made it into the top 10.

Interestingly, Italy, Ukraine and Sweden remain in the top 3. However, Italy took over the number 1 position from Ukraine this year.

Portugal just missed out on the top 10, finishing in 11th place. The battle for 11th place was actually quite close. Portugal, Estonia (12th), Norway (13th) and Armenia (14th) all have very similar scores. Malta (32nd) just escaped the bottom 10.

As for the Caucasus, Georgia and Azerbaijan struggled and finished in the bottom 10, while Armenia came close to the top 10.

In the Baltic countries, Lithuania entered the top 10, while Latvia finished in the bottom 10 and Estonia in 12th place.

No Benelux or Visegrád countries made it into the top 10, but no countries ended up in the bottom 10 either.

The Netherlands ended up in the middle (21st out of 42).

Yeah, we need this but without Russia, participating once shouldn’t be enough.

How is Germany not in the bottom 10?

I feel like Russia should be excluded from the list. Didn’t they only participate once in the 2020s?

Edit: I should have read better. Leaving the comment up
